absolutly agree with this statement - West has decisively shown to us that only strong army may guarantee our safity:) to live in accordance with laws of people who think they are the law is madness:)

I think its too brave to base opinion on words of one unknown man and monitoring of 30 observers. Such monitoring by 30 people in 20 mln state sounds like a joke...

Re majority in Syria I m not so competent to speak about accurate data. But even if Sunnis population is less than 50% they are still majority. And they want pro-Sunni government and do not like Assad. And I think they voted in this way:)

Another question after these years of hell for them are they still thinking that Assad is the main problem? On the basis of my intuition I think they will kiss any as. which stops this local doomsday:)

In respect to mercenaries I agree with you. Arabic revolution is impossible w/o such "patriots" financed by Saudi Arabia:)

I don't know what's going on, but to be honest I don't trust Kerry or Obama because they are not really in charge. They might change their tune...the way Nuland contradicted Kerry when he came back from Socchi.

Anyway this is what I came across in the past days. Assad gave Hezbollah seventy tanks right after Netanyahu spoke to Putin. Why? Is it because Putin warned him about attacking, or is there another reason...such as having revealed something to him that he didn't know about ISIS. Maybe Russia found out they have some kind of nuclear bomb...or that they are planning major terrorist attacks.

Erdogan invited seventy terrorist leaders to a five star hotel in Istanbul for a meeting, according to Greek Defense Net right after he met with Putin. Why? Is it to tell them to stop fighting Assad, or for some more nefarious reason?

I know Russia has agents all over the place, and unlike the CIA which intervenes in other people's business, it really does gather intelligence. Does he have something on them that made them change their mind, or did he reveal something that they didn't know?

This article at Foreign Policy shows not everyone is happy with Obama.

    http://foreignpolicy.com/2015/09/28...e-supreme-leader-obama-iraq-iran-middle-east/

Beyond that, I'm sure Putin has factored in the lack of trustworthiness on the US's part.

I read about the tanks to Hezbollah. Also keep hearing about the Chinese, but so far nothing verifiable.

Erdogan is interesting. Why did he open the floodgates for the refugees to go to Europe at this time? Who benefits?

According to the Russian political scientists, specialists in the Middle East... (for example Evgeny Satanovsky - the Jew) - less than a half of Syria are controlled by Assad, but in this territory there live nearly 80% of the population. If these people don't love Assad why they don't go to the big territory which is controlled by different groups and ISIS - they are afraid that to them will cut off the head?

assad Syria was a very tangible enemy of Israel and US, it activly supported groups like Hizbullah abroad against US and Israeli targets, you dont read about terror attacks because they usually catch the suspects but it comes down to your trust as a citizen in your country intel and security agencies or are you one of the "shadow gov" conspirecy ppl when everyone except your mumy is a secret agent out to kill you, wichever - I assume our agencies know what they are talking about and their members are part of our communitte and seek its freedom and safety,

The Syrian ppl accused Assad in using Chim weapons and not for the first time, the time they did investigate was the time the crime couldnt be concealed and even then it wasnt conclusive because some think its very possible the rebels decided to bomb themselves....ok.

Assad murdered his ppl for a whole year before any opposition formed, another 6 months till the Arabs recognized them and months after that till US sent any kind of support - which we know todau wasnt hardly enoough to fight Iran + Assad + Hizbullah fighters and ISIS from the other side, we (*)(*)(*)(*)ed them and pushed them toward ISIS, that's the truth.

Now you say we have no choice but support Assad ? I dont think so, I think there is no such option to support Assad, such support of a tyrant in civil war never ended up well when the US supported a tyrant in the past, I dont think it will end up well with Russian support.

Israel in this scenario got no choice because Hizbi makes a big part of Assad army now and they define themselves as our enemies = Assad is our enemy, no other way to solve this equasion,

So we dont want ISIS, we (sadly) de facto fight Hizbi - Assad = Assad will stay in an enclave and around him the Druze, Kurds and FSA, probebly some ISIS as well but not as dominant power, this I think what "assad sharing power" means.

And how will you do that when 15 Million Syrians think Assad is a butcher worse than Israel (heaven's forbid!) ? dazzle them with the new SU-35 jets ? you need to push them away from ISIS ofc, that can only be achieved if you give them hope - and not in Germany...

Recognize the enclaves of ethnic or religion based ppl like Druze, Kurds, Sunni and Alawite and they automaticlly unite against ISIS, I think that's the direction Russia is leading, all it wants are the beaches anyway.

You have answered to your own question. People do not like Assad but ISIS and rebels they hate due to such things like "cut off the head"

I think its a bit more than "not liking" him, perhaps we will start to hear them from Germany now.

People may thing everything they want but the reality is always ugly. They have two choices: Assad or ISIS. In other words they have no choice at all... The only hope they have is the end of war! And nothing else matters. Well yes, enclaves will receive benefits - at the end of this mess.

You are ignoring the problem, why did Millions leave Syria to Turkey and Jordan (before Germany opened their borders) and not enlisted Assad army ? they didnt turn to poetic liberty socialists overnight, they really were thretened by both sides so had no choice but flee to refugee camps, the only "intel" Assad gathers is which village did a rebel come from and than he bombs the village, forget "collatoral" damage as in Israel case in Gaza, they use barrel bombs and carpet the village, now you expect the survivers to join his army and do that to other villages ? they will grow beards and chop heads before that.

Sly, our general problem is that we both draw different conclusions from more or less the same sources.

I don’t deny that the US and UK where over with the Shah in person and that the population was in uprising against him, but US were not over with the complete regime around Shah. The US had his hands to deep in this regime by backing it full with intelligence and in military too!
Because this uprising, US were in negotiations with Khomeini and so he entered Iran at least. But look who played for example Taxi for him with a helicopter, it was the Iranian Military which again is full backed and advised by USA.
The problem is that this coup went to become a total own goal for the USA at least and they lost any influence in Iran.

The same situation was at least in Egypt too. Mubarak was close friend and maybe in some dispute with Washington, but nothing serious. But Arab Spring showed that Mubarak couldn’t be hold and a civil war to risk was without any question no options! So Egyptian Military took over control. Of course were negotiations of USA with major opposition groups and so with Muslim Brothers, because free elections were on topic … which were won by Muslim Brothers. But whatever was told and agreed at negotiations between USA and Muslim Brothers, the Brothers made worst mistakes and obviously gave a crap on these agreements. This fact + the still growing danger of civil war in Egypt brought Egyptian Military a second time on the table and they moved up Muslim Brothers from power.

So we have here 2, in much things similar cases where USA milled in internal affairs of their regime backed allies and in matter of Iran it went worse with total loss! In matter of Egypt they could stop this with second coup if Egyptian Military.

I know that you may ask now for links etc. … but this is the undisputed history of the issues. Aside this, the USA were fast angry with Khomeini regime as released documents of US embassy captured by Iran show:

    https://archive.org/details/DocumentsFromTheU.s.EspionageDen

The problem is again that you back your mind with this and that saying that putting Khomeini in full power was intention by the USA … what I will not really deny … but that what followed after all up to today was full intention of USA too?

The problem with Egypt is, if I’m not wrong, that you say that complete Arab Spring was US intelligence action and plan, what I deny utterly!

    So far Correct?

Well I dont know. Im curious to find out, but my bet is divide Syria, its the only logical solution to the refugees as well, Russia cant do it alone if they are there to support Assad, but US, Turkey, Jordan and unofficially Israel, can create it , thing is I dont see that jigsaw puzzle part fit with Russia-Assad.

Just an example for you - 15 years ago we have problems with Chechnya. I am shure you heard about this...Many civilians died in this war many villiages were burned... Russian soldiers against rebels / terroristes. Do you know how many of Chechenes died in this war? But at the end of this bloody hell people from villiages which your not destroied indirectly with silence supported Russian forces. You know why? Becuase destroyed villiages were not their own, not their clans and relatives. This is how it works in such communities. National identity is not so important - your own villiage is important. The winner side is better for them. If Assad became the winner - we will see what happens than:) And no you can not:) only if you apply ground forces... I doubt...

The diffrence is you think Russia + Assad (Iran,Lebanon) are enough to "win" the war, I think they need the support of the ppl or the ppl will turn to ISIS as happened this far, what I proposed is to gain the support of the ppl.

I answered this question for myself earlier, just wanted to hear it from you and that all would hear who calls Assad the dictator. With Assad it is possible to live and from him mass... don't run to Europe. Run away from the ISIS.

Don't be so 'effing daft. And stop putting words in my mouth. I don't support Assad, I criticize the US for putting domestic democracy to death in exchange for becoming a war-mongering exporter and de facto police state.

When across the Middle East there passed the Arab spring, it came and to Syria. Protests in some cities of Syria (2-3 cities) began - among peace protesters also there were also armed fighters. These fighters (as Assad speaks , in the majority from Turkey and Arabia ) shot both at police and at the people. As a result, Assad applied army to suppression. Further - it is more. Opposition was pumped up the weapon, there came from the different countries fighters. Assad from the very beginning, as the duly elected president and as the Syrian fights for preservation of Syria as the states. But so there a situation that many in this region dream to tear off a piece from this country.

there you go putting words in my mouth again. You like doing that don't you.

Let me correct you (yes, again). I don't hate the US. I do hate US foreign policy. I hate it because it's illegal, exports war and chaos and suffering and all to suit the greedy agenda of the US elite who represent less than 1% of the US public.

You on the other hand support the 1% and their vile madness. Suits you sir.

Try again with your second question without the rhetorical bile of your accompanying statement and I'll be happy to answer. Otherwise: go away!

What do you mean under support? Assad has enough soldiers, and strong resources to recruit clans by benefits - as I've wrote above. Division of Syria - is a bad choice. If someone in the WEST is going to use such instrument in Syria than Ukraine will be divided too.
