The Republicans have done their best to hide their previous failures from the collective memory.

Good reason. Romney's policies are basically the same as Bush's.

If the housing collapse was Bush's, then the sluggish economy and all those people that lost their jobs and housing in the last four years are Obama's.

    your funny.

this thread title is correct that Obama is the worst president ever but your not even close that he is taking it from Carter.Carter was the only halfway decent president we had since JFK our last real president we had who served the people instead of wall street and the establishment.

Carter like Kennedy was also trying to do the right thing and get rid of that evil organization the CIA but he did not have enough time to implement the plan like he wanted to cause he only served one term and did not get started with the plan till his last year in office.Like Kennedy,he was also trying to cleanup government corruption and if he had been elected a second term,he would have paid the price for it as well just like Kennedy did.going back to JFK,every president that has got in office since then has been more evil and corrupt than the previous one which is WHY Obama is the worst president ever.whoever replaces him will be worse and always will be as long as we have this corrupt two party system of demopublicans and reprocrats who only serve wall street and the zionists instead of us.

till we get a THIRD PARTY president in office that serves the people, each president from here on out will be worse than the previous one.

Till Obama came along yeah he was easily the worst president ever and just like I just got done saying, before him Clinton was the worst president ever signing NAFTA which took away millions of jobs from americans and got shipped overseas to china.thats just ONE of Clintons atrocities against the american people that made him the most corrupt before Bushwacker jr came along.

23 million additional jobs, uenmployment dropping from over 7% to 4.2%, stock markets tripling even with the 2000 correction, longest boom in post WWII history, best average GDP growth since the 1960s, income rising for all income groups, lowest poverty level on record, falling crime rates ... and a record deficit turned into a short lived surplus.

    Yeah, Clinton sure sucked.

Boy did we take a wrong turn.

It was reasonable until he came up with his pathetic lies on carter being the worst prior to Obama.THEN he lost what little credibility he had.

thats actually very true, they dont supress news from you that the zionists owned media does.

Obama = worst president in history?"

Bush has that title hands down

actually their pretty much neck and neck.

Obama is not the worst President ever. There are only four candidates that should be considered for that honor. James Buchanan, as explained by Rolo1066, Andrew Johnson (impeached but not convicted), Richard Nixon (resigned in disgrace), and Warren G. Harding (May have been murdered in office but nobody cared enough to investigate).

Obama is certainly a failed president on the next to lowest rung of the ladder along with Jimmy Carter.

Grow up.carter was far better than any of the presidents we had since kennedy.he actually tried to serve the people.

Not even close. You should read up on some of the terrible presidents we had in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

James Buchanan was one of the worst we've had by a longshot.

Na. I would reserve the worst president in history title for either Nixon or Bush. Either way, both republican schmucks.

    no way.

Hands down without question the worst is bush the failure, next is reagan, then nixon and hoover and grant, in that order.

Well, I didn't know you were such a loyal follower. Keep reading. You might learn something.

Despite your best intentions and your posting history which would suggest that you learning something is unlikely.

As far as embarrassing myself, if I thought that was the case, I would only need to read one of YOUR posts to feel better about it.

6 years into his term we had record employment and record federal revenue, then Democrats took over Congress. and the financial collapse had its beginning under CARTER. Just as the person that dies of a "sudden heart attack" was actually developing that heart disease over many years until the heart couldn't take any more. I know, I had one that dang near killed me.

CRA and the REPEAL of banking laws that WORKED for decades is what caused the collapse. And none of it happened under Bush. He's not innocent, he DID NOT do enough to correct the problems when they became evident in 2003, 2004. but they weren't caused by him. I won't even say the seeds of destruction were all the fault of Democrats. Republicans as well, saw opportunities to BUY votes with bad legislation.

And that's EXACTLY what the Stimulus and obamacare are, is bad legislation intended to BUY votes from the shallow, or non-thinkers. Both will sometime cause immense problems for US citizens. Just a matter of time. Bad legislation is ALWAYS very expensive, we just don't know how soon or long it takes for the expense to be felt.

Too many short term thinkers here. Lincoln was not considered a great President in his time, today he's probably number 1 on most historians' top Presidents list. To all the liberals judging Bush, it's too early for that. About 30 years from now if more Arab nations follow Egypt and Libya into a democratic model of government then the Iraq war will be looked upon as a stepping stone for the spread of democracy in the Middle East. While the United States got no personal benefit from invading Iraq, I think they pushed other countries into looking into democracy by flooding Middle Eastern media with good old-fashioned American "sunshine". So 30 years from now the credit for democratizing the Middle East may go to Bush in our history books. Obama is like FDR but without the war, his policies are similar to New Deal policies. Conservatives hate FDR and they will hate Obama till the end of time but they will still take their Social Security when they retire and free Obamacare when they get sick, hypocrites I salute you!

    The worst Presidents on...

Foreign Policy: Reagan, Bush Jr, Truman, Bush Sr, Nixon, and Wilson.

Social Policy: Bush Jr, Nixon, Wilson, Obama, and Truman.

Economic Policy: FDR, Johnson, Obama, Reagan, Bush Jr, and Nixon.

As much as I prefer Republican economic policy, Reagan took this stupid trend of borrowing and printing money instead of taxing it. Likewise with Bush. Obama's bad social policy is partially precedent, but there's no doubt he could have done something if he had the will.

By historical standards Obama is a terrible President, but in this particular situation I'd argue that it's more a systemic problem found in both parties. Would I have preferred McCain? No, probably not.
