They're losing the policies they liked and that were affordable and yes some are losing their insurance as they cannot afford the Obamacare premiums and deductibles.

 

Yep the WH just announced that the website will not be fixed by Dec. 1 and millions are already finding out they have lost their insurance and can't afford Obamacare. Now the Democrats go home for the holidays to face the voters.

It's not doing well anywhere, even in the states where people can manage to sign up sticker shock is hitting.

 

The Obamacare scare mongers are making it seem as if people are being denied insurance. I think they're forgetting the overall goal of Obamacare and the healthcare movement. Within a year, more people will have health insurance in the USA than ever before, and the USA will be keeping up with other prosperous, healthy OECD countries.

Much love has evidently been lost between the Obama administration and the editors of President Obama’s hometown paper, particularly since the Chicago Tribune came out swinging against the administration’s incompetence in rolling out ObamaCare and its inherent big-government intrusion not too long ago. They’ve been getting a lot more critical of the president’s crowning legislative achievement, and their latest editorial takes issue with the “small” qualifier getting tacked on to so many of the very forced explanations coming from ObamaCare’s advocates and apologists.

‘Yes,’ many of these supporters are now begrudgingly admitting, ‘ObamaCare’s very nature does mean that there will be an ever-so-small number of losers who may have to pay just a tiny bit more for a new plan, but it’s OK because the vast, vast majority of people are going to absolutely love their new-and-improved, more comprehensive plans!’ …Except that, as the Chicago Trib points out, that losers-list is stubbornly growing longer, with no end in sight:

First of all, stop calling Leftists "liberals", doombug.

Secondly, while some Democrats are acknowledging the abject failures they enacted into law, the progs at New Republic aren't admitting it - they're still keeping the neo-socialist faith. They can't and won't admit that it's their ideology and the policies that are a product of their ideology are what has failed. They're still bleating in their cocoon of denial that the problems are "technical difficulties", the failure "to translate complex mechanisms of policy into plain English" and "initial impressions of government ineptitude".

While ObamaCare does pose a threat to neo-socialism/"progressivism" in America, the biggest threat to neo-socialism/"progressivism" is the clueless state of denial that its votaries dwell within. You can't fix stupid.

The roll out is the least of the problems with the ACA. Will people have forgotten that they lost their plans they were promised they could keep. Will people forget about having to pay more for their coverage when they were promised they would be paying less? Will people forget about not being able to see the doctors they want to see when they were promised this would not happen?

Also, the employer mandate will be added to the mix a year from now, and that may very well be the most disastrous aspect of this whole mess.

Will everyone somehow forget all that too?

It's a little bit bigger than that, and even then I'm not saying it's a success but it's still not as bad as people are saying it is.

 

No is saying it isn't working right, but there are a lot more components to that then just the website. Those things people want and are in effect. You can't deny that at all. Plus the website is getting fixed.

 

Tens of millions of people losing the health plans they know and like for more expensive ones with high deductibles and outrageous yearly out of pocket costs, people WILL spank the Democrats badly in the next two elections.

It will not be fixed and the phone call just put you in touch with someone else who has to use the website, get up to speed.

 

Which people? It's worse that imagined when you add in the security problems which have not been resolved and might never be resolved because of the fundimental flaws. Then add in the increased premimums and deductibles.

30 million at best guess might get insurance they did not have. 60 million plus will lose theirs and have their premiums skyrocket even if they can afford it. Which way is the balance going to shift?
