There is a difference between treason and treasonous. If I were to promise that I was going to rob a bank, that would not make me a bank robber... unless I actually carried out the promise.

What he said was treasonous, but he did not commit treason. If I were CiC, l would no longer have trust and confidence in him.

He won't even protect the office of the President from the abuse of power the Dems are engaging in with the Jan 6 partisan commission demands for protected documents.

 

There were no high crimes and misdemeanors in the Articles of Impeachment and he has never been charged with any by any prosecutor related to the impeachments.

 

Well I doubt a military tribunal would call her, maybe they would take a deposition but the transcript of the conversation would probably do. I would also be interested in who he reported that call to, he should have informed the President, another insubordination.

If he is brought before a Court Martial I would be willing to wait until the findings are released. Right now he is a 4 Star General in good standing. We have a large staff of internet lawyers here who are saying all kinds of stuff. I do not pay much attention to them. I predict that if he is not charged or is found not guilty all of those pontificators who have chipped in their worthless 2 cents here will blame the deep state and never accept the decision not to charge or tp aquit. That’s just how these people roll.

 

You’re right. Trump was never convicted for high crimes and misdemeanors in the Senate because he didn’t commit any. He was impeached by the House for political reasons. They clearly hated Trump, knew they couldn’t remove him from office, and decided they were going to make a vengeful political process the punishment, smear him as much as possible.

 

He's on tape extorting the President of another country; to help him win an election he eventually lost. He's on tape inciting a riot and insurrection; to overturn the election he lost because his extortion attempt failed. He wasn't convicted because a HIGHLY partisan Senate put politics before the Country they swore to defend. Any reasonable body of men and women would have put him in jail and thrown the key away. If "they clearly hated tRump" it's because he deserved it. Smear? His followers smeared their **** on the walls of OUR Capitol, they were there at tRump's bidding to overthrow an election and in the process OUR Government.

 

What does being a long time combat veteran have to do with whether someone committed treason or not?

All anyone can do now is wait and see if our own military 'high command' determines that a JAG needs to be convened to examine the situation. As I have said, in our military's 'form of justice' there is no "Gran" or "Grand Jury"... there is, however, the JAG, and I've been over all that several times already.

It seems beyond imagination that, if convened, a JAG would not recommend that Gen. Milley be made to face a General Court Martial. Indeed, given the seriousness of allegations that are surfacing now, that is the only way his innocence or guilt in doing anything wrong can be conclusively determined.

The Democrats in Congress were outraged someone had a real chance to take their gravy train away and responded the way petty tyrants always do, they lashed out in anger. Trump committed no treason or misdemeanors, he just had the audacity to start cleaning the corrupt moneychangers out of the temple courtyard.

 

The Chineses did not have concerns about Trump… their concerns were about the loose cannon that just took over the White House… they knew the old dementia ridden man and his childish speaker of the house who ripped up papers in a tantrum was the ones to watch out for… China’s concerns were the same as all us Americans can not deny…. The old man is not capable of running our country and should not be let near the nuke button… I have those concerns myself about Biden being around the button.

 

And came up with this plan to prevent him from running again totally turning impeachment into a new political weapon. Sad to what they are turning this country.

 

I don't think Trump will run again, but if there if enough public support for him I hope he does. Democrats have certainly elected plenty of criminals to political positions, they have no moral high ground here.

There is no court martial, Milley committed no offense. Everything he did was according to DOD protocols. Yes, and we studied the UCMJ when I was in bootcamp, too.

Now, you could nitpick and say all persons deserve to be heard, and that is true

However, here, ESPECIALLY here, given the fact of his distinguished service, given the fact that many on the right seem to be oblivious to the fact and if they had even considered it, they might have wanted to hear his side of the story before they levied the charge, well, in any case, especially in this case, for this reason, he deserves to be heard.
