Based on the comments from various people on this site, and in news reports, a sizable portion of the New Democratic Party.

 

I haven't been following this "story", but can somebody explain how her tweets would be considered anti-semitic?

Is it something to be found in these 2 tweets?

See, you haven't been able to point to one word she said that is racist or "anti-Jew", and you have no critique of the video that defends her. The whole "anti-Semitic" charge is false, bogus, racist, evil, and without validity. You even say "Interesting how the Jews of Israel are evil" which proves the stretching, reaching, bogus nature of the whole thing because there are many Jews in Israel who oppose Zionism and the treatment given the Palestinians, and those Jews have created several organizations to press the Israeli government to stop the crimes against Palestinians and to treat them properly. So contrary to what you said, it's NOT about "Jews in Israel".

 

The real issue here is that you have a representative of the people who fundamentally is a bigot/racist/anti-Semite. That's the real issue. Omar can apologize all she wants to it still doesn't change or fundamentally unwind her own deep seated beliefs, nor will it.

I make the distinction and focus on the politics. So superficially it would appear to the uninformed that we are "equal" in that you oppose Muslims and I oppose Zionists. Ok, your turn. I and others have posted quotes of what Omar said. Let's see you analyze her words and show how they are anti-Semitic or racist. (Jews are not a race.) Then you might want to critique the specific terms of the video I posted that defends Omar. But let's first see your evidence that Omar said something anti-Semitic.

I believe there is a quiet counter-revolution going on right now, quiet because of the MSM and anyone opposing the direction the country was taking under Obama was 'racist', 'fascist', etc. It's difficult to take on a movement that's been taking shape for over 50 years but mistrust of the MSM has been well established and larger numbers of people are finally speaking out.
