Lol... oh man. Let me walk you through this. Say there are two groups of 10,000 people in a country that represent their age group. 10,000 at age 20, and 10,000 at age 80. Let's suppose the vaccine reduces death 4-fold.

The 20 year olds, only 10% of them get vaccinated. While the 80 year olds, 90% get vaccinated.

Let's say all of them are exposed to covid.

Baseline death for 20 year olds: 1 death in 10000 cases.
Baseline death for 80 year olds; 1 death in 10.

In this scenario, there is 0.925 deaths in the 20 year old group, rounded to 1. This is unvaccinated.

The 10% of unvaccinated 80 year olds have 100 deaths. (1000 persons by 10% risk)

The 90% of vaccinated 80 year olds have 225 deaths (9000 persons by 10%/4 risk).

So in this scenario even with a 4 fold protection factor, there are over twice as many vaccinated deaths as unvaccinated. In the real world, there aren't as many 80 year olds as 20 year olds (which would explain why it's 85% vaccinated deaths). But hopefully this at least shows how the vaccine can be effective and more vaccinated can still die, so one must control for age to see the effectiveness.

Quickly, the vaccines we are administering were produced for the original virus. The original virus has been replaced by a couple of mutated strains. They are still effective witth the new strains but less so. Normal and expected. The boosters are there to help make up the difference in the "efficacy" of the vaccines. Normal and expected. Vaccines are supposed to prevent infections. Incorrect. Vaccines are not supposed to prevent infection. They are supposed to motivate the development of antibodies that deal with the infection. There is no way they can prevent an infection. The antibodies have nothing to do until after the infection has arrived. The vaccines have been in use for about a year. They are still doing their job with reduced efficacy because of the arrival of new mutated strains. There is still value in receiving the available vaccines. The only thing I have attacked is misinformation just like I did with this post.
