I sort of agree with you for once. I think that Trump will handily win regarding the Electoral College but just barely win the popular vote. He will also retain a narrow margin control of the Senate but that the House might just remain in the hands of increasingly insane Nancy Pelosi.

 

I agree. Despite the mainstream media essentially campaigning for Joe Biden I don't think that they can overcome the optics of Trump shrugging off a Kung-flu infection and then cheerfully hitting the campaign trail again to massive rally crowds across this nation while Joe Biden rallies with 'massive' crowds of about six people at a time . . . that is, when he is not hiding in his basement or drooling into a camera lens.

 

There’s definitely a difference in campaigns. The virus is the wild card. Would Biden have run this kind of campaign without the pandemic? Would we have seen a more lively campaign from him if they didn’t have the pandemic as cover? I don’t know. They didn’t run much of a campaign in 2016 either.

Election night is going to be interesting. That’s my prediction.

 

I am convinced that the real reason Biden's handlers ran this sort of campaign is because of Biden's obvious and ever increasing dementia. Keep him away from camera lens hungry large crowds in which him forgetting that he's running for the presidency rather than for the senate and that he's running against Trump rather than G.W. Bush would make national news. It's a damage control style of a presidential campaign.

I'd been predicting since the beginning of the year that that although Trump has a chance to win again in 2020, it was a thin one, as the demographics of the electorate have gotten more unfavorable for Republicans four years later (as they do every four years) and all things being equal, Trump couldn’t win. His only chance was a major increase in turn out of his voters. Turn out, in a country in which only about half the voting age population votes is crucial.

However things never stay “equal” as 2020 brought us not only Covid, but “The Summer of George,” a social justice holocaust brought about by the death of George Floyd. The rioting and arson got out of control almost exclusively as a result of Democratic governors, mayors, and city councils, which not only refused to do anything to stop the mayhem, but took the side of rioters. This provided us with the possibility that the election may boil down to an election of normal people vs the Woke crazies.

In 2016, the Democrats just did not believe they could lose; all of their smartest pundits and talking heads told them so, and they acted, or didn’t act, accordingly. This year, they are well aware of the possibility and have pulled out all the stops to make sure that doesn’t happen. And by all the stops, I mean election fraud and cheating.

So...my prediction is that Trump is ahead on Election Day, and then loses later when Cook County and multiple other in the tank locales see how many ballots they need and then produce them.

 

Sincere question - why would you like to see that? Very difficult for Biden to do anything without control. And if that's what you want, why do you want to see Biden win?

 

Not really. They could actually impeach him then instead of the farce that the repubs held.

 

I'm not interested in either team's agenda passing without bi-partisan support. Nothing good happens for the country when that happens.

If we force them to work together, they'll have no choice but to work together at some point.

My preference is party A holds the WH and The HoR and party B holds the Senate. That's my ideal, 100% of the time.

 

They need 60 senate votes to remove.

 

Biden getting 320 EC votes? I think you're dreaming. I don't know who is going to win. However I did vote today. Went into my local county clerks office, verified I was registered to vote, got my absentee ballot right then and there, voted right then and there. And handed it in right then and there. No need to go through the post office or find a ballot drop box.

I voted Trump. It is only 6 more days until election day. Nothing new is going to come out. Everything possible to be said has been said from both sides. Everything from here on out will be just a rehash of what's already been said.

 

More than that, even. The constitution says 2/3rds, so 67. If Trump does win, I hope the dems give up on the impeachment stuff. There's no point, though I'm sure we disagree as to why that is.

Biden to win comfortably but not massively. House to stay Dem with likely margin increase. Senate evenly split, which means Harris has the deciding vote.

 

Earlier this month, I was getting about equal robo texts from D and R.

I've not gotten any from team D in several days, but I am now getting 15+/day from Republicans.

I'm getting them "from" Newt Gingrich, Don Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and a whole host of others.
