I don't give a **** about private religious practice. All states ought to burn to the ground, but state religion deserves to burn first

    They're not educated.
This isn't the 17th Century. We know enough about the universe and science to know every major religion is claptrap.
Very few educated people are religious.

Well, the Pope himself is "pro-migrant". I guess that explains the somewhat pro-migrant stance of Catholic Bavaria.

Yes, they are. They just aren't educated into the same worldview you and I are.

That might be part of it, but Bavarians are also non-confrontational and compassionate.

British Columbia in Canada is both dominated by nonbelievers and multicultural. BCers push values that are inclusive and opposed to the ignorant ideas pushed by fanatical followers of various religions. Intermarriage? Yes. Race mixing? Of course. Put up with someone imposing religious ideas on someone else, including family members? No.

Where is bavaria pro migrant? The AfD got 20% in last elections there. The ruling CSU fears this so much, that they now copy the AfD positions.

As for the pope, he got silenced, since posters were hung up in Rome insulting him and it became clear it was an inside job in the Vatican. The pope is pretty much isolated

You can't have religion without organization, then people would be creating their own beliefs and set of ethics out of thin air. Where would they get their knowledge from, what books and what teachings?

I have news for you, the only Christian theocracy that existed was the Byzantine Empire. No European nation was a theocracy, but they did have anointed kings - otherwise there would have been chaos. The problem with the colonies, is that each one belonged to a certain faith. They feared that the Federal government would established it's own Church and impose their way of worship on them. This is why they separated the Church and State.

Here are some words of wisdom from a few of the signers of the Constitution:

    John Adams

The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity and humanity.

    John Quincy Adams

In the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior. The Declaration of Independence laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity.

    Samuel Adams

He also called on the State of Massachusetts to pray that the peaceful and glorious reign of our Divine Redeemer may be known and enjoyed throughout the whole family of mankind, and with true contrition of heart to confess their sins to God and implore forgiveness through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior.

    Josiah Bartlett

Called on the people of New Hampshire to confess before God their aggravated transgressions and to implore His pardon and forgiveness through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ.

    Gunning Bedford

To the triune God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost – be ascribed all honor and dominion, forevermore –
    Amen

And it goes on and on -

Imaginary Friends are personal deities that help you cheat death, solve everyday problems, etc. There's no reason to believe a personal god exists. Educated people understand this.

Oh please. Christianity reigned throughout the late Roman and Medieval periods, and many suffered and died because of that, both Christian and non-Christian alike.

So? Religious beliefs were pulled "out of thin air."
    Books, science, philosphy, etc.

If the Bavarians are devout it would explain their compassion. It comes with the territory. The Catholic Church is known for its compassion and social policies. If someone in NYC was sick and /or died, and there was no one to pay for the hospital or their burial, the Catholic Church would take it over regardless of whether they were Christian, Buddhist, Muslim or what not.

You keep repeating this falsehood. It's untrue and uninteresting.

Educated people believe lots of things. Sorry to break the bad news.

yes, educated people have imaginary friends too, if it gives them comfort, so be it.. as long as they do not try to force it on others
