They promoted it by failing to enforce immigration laws. The immigration problem existed prior to Obama but was never supported by government until that time.

They promoted it by doing what? I mean they didn't stop ICE from doing their job did they?

They in that case would be the democrat run cities. Yes they did that and continue to do that. The left wants open borders in hopes of increasing votes after providing them with a path to citizenship. You will see that path being cleared the next time they are in power. It is all about politics.

One does not need to speculate as to what would happen because what does happen is that stowaways are walked off the ship at the next port. That is what should happen to illegal immigrants also. When they are discover, they should be walked out of the country. Heck, give them a ride, but there's no need to throw them over board.

Is that true? I'm not so sure, as the person would have to go through the border control point at the port, at which point I don't imagine they would be welcome in the country. What does that country now do with them?

You think illegal aliens don't get proscecuted because of their race?

Yeah, of course sanctuary cities are to blame for not dealing with the problem. However, you did say that the government has "just spent 8 years promoting illegal immigration" so I could only assume that you were talking about the federal government.

It not only happens with stowaways, it also happens with those who break the rules or the laws. It even happens to those who don't get back to the ship in time from shore excursions. Exactly how the various different countries handle these foreign nationals varies from country to country. My point is that it happens all of the time, and not just with stowaways. It happens with all sorts of foreigners stranded in foreign countries.

    What to do with DACA?

    Friggin pass it clean.

You want your stupid wall? Sure whatever. It only hurts the people who have property on the border. They should have screamed louder.

So make it a DACA/Wall Bill clean. Nothing else. Dems will GIVE you that. It's stupid and a waste of money but after giving away a trillion and a half to corporations in the Donor Relief Act...24 billion looks like chump change so have at it

Interesting. However, your analogy still breaks down because stowaways on a ship weren't children when they came on board and haven't been brought up on the ship and lived there for most of their lives.

I'm not referring to what is right or wrong. If I were in their position, I would break that laws also. This is a good example why we should pick and choose which laws we obey. On the other hand, I'd kick them out of the country and to the back of the line.

On the other hand? What was "on one hand?"

On the first hand, if I was in their situation, I'd break the law also.

I thought you might have been saying on one hand you wouldn't kick them out and on the other you would. So you would kick all of them out including 37-100 year olds who arrived as children?

That's exactly what I'm saying. If I was hungry enough or desperate enough, I may resort to theft. On the other hand, I will resist thieves. I have no doubt that I could be exerted upon such that I would do to others that which I would resist having done to me. I hope that I am never in such circumstances, but I'm the last one to say that it could never happen to me.

Since I began this post, lots has changed. Trump has offered to include 1 million more than the 800,000 originally rigistered, and was called a white supremacist. Hispanics have come forward to demand citizenship as an entitlement, and they were repugnant in their sense of entitlement. Then there are the sentiments that have been expressed herein - which I am sure are widely echoed.
Funny how such open demonstrations of hatefulness can make a person change their mind. I can't remember what I was sympathetic with.
I think DACAs should go to the end of the line and immigrate like legal people do.

... and I would NOT make them compensate the citizens of the United States for what they have received to date as encouragement to get in line with their fellow emigrants and try to return to the United States. Their experience, education and skills should serve them well in their attempts to compete against the other emigrants trying to emigrate to the United States.

The DACAs will have immeasurable advantages over their fellows, upon their return to their legal home countries, in any attempts to return to the US legally. Our return to a merit based immigration system should benefit the DACAs the most.

Yea sure.Send em to a country where they have nothing, know no one, and don't speak the language.

    Sure.

That makes as much sense as any of your other posts

You don't see a problem with DACA people ripping their citizen kids out of school and taking them to a country that they don't know? Not to mention selling their family home and finding a home in their home country?

When you get deported...you don't sell anything. You're just GONE.

Happened to an Irish friend of mine recently
