The IDF has confirmed they fired a tank shell at two Palestinians who approached a security fence in Gaza, hours ahead of upcoming mass protests in the area. The tank killed a local farmer, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), two suspects approached a security fence in the southern Gaza Strip in the early hours of Friday morning and engaged in “suspicious activity.”

“In response, our forces fired a tank shell at them. There is a claim about a Palestinian who was killed [in the shelling],” according to the statement from the IDF.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed to Haaretz that the incident happened in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. The Israeli tank killed a Palestinian farmer and critically injured another local, it added.

The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Omar Wahid Samur, official Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV reports. The incident took place hours before the ‘Great March of Return’ event that kicked off on Friday. March 30 marks Land Day, an annual commemoration of the murder of six unarmed Arab citizens by Israeli forces during demonstrations over land confiscation back in 1976.

It’s pretty clear that the Israeli occupation style power structure is moving toward the same in America; a warehousing of the poor in a post industrial age with diminishing living wage jobs and privatized for profit prisons complete with a return to convict leasing.

Much of the security monitoring and mass surveillance technologies are also produced in Israel and sold across the globe. “Targeted assassination” was invented in Israel, which Obama was quite fond of. Abu Ghraib torture methods? Israel.

The US and Israel are not allies. The US and Israeli arms dealers are allies, and war is the business they are both in. We are all collateral damage.

OK the final result as of now for Israel's use yesterday of the Palestinians for weapons practice

The BBC gave the reason for Israel firing life fire at unarmed protesters was that they came too near the fence. The Israelis also gave their reason for killing the farmer working his field that he came too near to the fence. I have not seen details of why the other 27 were injured before protests even began but coming near the fence is a catch all Israeli excuse for killing Palestinians.

The BBC during the night reported that the reason the Palestinians started firing their sling shots was Israel firing on them though 972 report that a number of youths threw stones and burnt tyres without saying when this began. 972 spoke to a 20 year old young Palestinian doing this

Israel refuses to allow peaceful demonstrations which must be allowed by International humanitarian law. Instead she calls them riots and acts as if it was so until it becomes so as she did last yesterday killing 16 and wounding over 1,400 according to the Red Crescent 800 of those with live ammunition.

Obviously now that the US has said they will put their Embassy in Israel and that Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel when East Jerusalem was always going to be the Palestinian capital Israel is making illegal laws to get the Palestinians out of Jerusalem. Of course Israel has been moving the Palestinians out and Jews in for several years but now strengthened by having the best Might is Right in the world behind her, she has found a new quicker way to remove all the Palestinians from the place where they and they parents were born and which had their been a just settlement as a two state solution rather than one state with equal rights, would have been the Palestinians Capital.

In real (as in not fake Palestinian news), in yesterday's "peaceful" riot organized by Hamas, Hamas and Palestinian rioters:

• Threw rockets and firebombs at Israelis
• Attempted to infiltrate Israel and destroy security barrier
• Carried out a shooting attack
• Sent a 7-year-old to "infiltrate" Israel
• Used a disabled man to try and provoke an IDF response
• Urged 30,000 people to join the violent mob against Israel at the Gaza border

Did you expect Israel Defense Force to idly standby and watch, or maybe, to bend over and grab the ankles?
