The amazing thing about this is it is always the people who are not the victims of racism that try to tell the people who are how they should react to it.
There you go. This girl was the "victim of racism?" Really? She may have been slightly insulted that someone referred to her as Asian at the pizza place. But I'll bet you she belongs to some group or organization that has the word Asian in its name and is dedicated to obsessing over her Asian heritage. So she is hardly a stranger to the practice of racial identity herself.
even if one person in the china race is offended by this then its wrong and grounds for a lawsuit that is how discrimination laws work, the supreme court recently said it was okay for churches to discriminate against their own but these laws still apply to businesses and the public
It's silly to talk about a lawsuit for such a trivial event. Do you think the kid has enough money to interest a liberal personal injury vulture who works on commission? I doubt if the employee has any money at all so what is the point?
Perhaps we should view this event in a positive light. If the best those who want to show the travesty being perpetuated against minorities can come up with is a teenager writing the words "*****y eyes" on a receipt, well then maybe we're not doing too badly.
I don't think her objection was to being called Asian. The description that caught her attention was "*****y." I'm skeptical that she's a member of any group that self identifies themselves as *****s.
One has nothing to do with the other. Calling an Asian person a "*****" is equal to calling a black person a "(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)". Plain and simple.
Yes, but you imagine what would happen if everyone started suing when they were offended over a word. It would be never ending. You have to draw the line somewhere.
You think black folks can't use chopsticks? Jeez... focus on the native American guy behind her -- the flyer is about his behaviour.
srsly? who the hell uses chopsticks outside of a Chinese Restaurant? if i was a gook, i'd be more offended over that stereotype than a couple of round eyes being idiots.
So chopsticks can only be in a chinese restaurant, ok. What is a "gook"? Why would it be a stereotype, did chinese folks stop using chopsticks.
Have blacks stopped eating watermelon? And yet persons on these boards have freaked about associating blacks and watermelon. I personally don't have a clue why watermelon would be considered a bad thing.
Gook. gook noun /go͝ok/  /go͞ok/  gooks, plural offensive. A foreigner, esp. a person of Philippine, Korean, or Vietnamese descent
Probably not, have whites stopped eating it? Come on now don't act like you are not familiar with the racist slogans of fried chicken and watermelon when it comes to black folks. Why am I not surprised.
