Dallas Morning News just released a poll that has him down 5 points (46 - 41) in Texas. IN TEXAS.

 

He could have done as well or better than British Columbia...

Cuomo and DeBlasio screwed up--Cuomo on nursing homes and DeBlasio kept the schools open too long--but Trump blew the federal response. Worse still, he went against CDC guidelines and pressed state governors to open too soon.

You go on about people dying. When Americans look at how their nearest neighbor has done compared to us, they're going to be shocked, especially when Ontario (14.6m people) and Quebec (8.5m), the two most populated provinces, had horrific problems with their nursing homes. At one point, the Canadian armed forces took charge of some private operations. Still, this where Canada is...



British Columbia (5m people) has outperformed Canada as a whole...



If we scale up BC to compare to this country, multiply their numbers times 66.

They would have 12,342 deaths, and 1,650 new cases. They have opened up as much as they dare, more than many U.S. states.

Did I waste my time telling you about a place that seems to have done it right with a few early missteps? Are you convinced yet that states will start shutting down to prevent the spread? We should be able to do better than BC because we have the manufacturing capacity to make a lot of very effective respirators.

Trump could make sure every American gets an n100 mask with effective cartridge filters to wear during a pandemic when you can't socially distance. We're talking less than $100 per person. If a lot of people wore those when out shopping, on transit, in crowded big cities, we'd have a huge impact on the spread.

We need one big national effort (how BC did it...) to get our new case numbers down. We then test and contract trace to cut off lines of transmission. Joe Biden will promise to make it happen if Trump doesn't do it soon. The Republican governors of Arizona, Texas, and Florida are staring at the abyss. Joe Biden is effectively tied in Texas and Arizona, and six points ahead in Florida. Trump can't afford to lose Florida and Texas.

People are already slowing on going to restaurants. I bet mall foot traffic is down.

If Trump loses Florida and Texas, he's finished.

Even if states hit the brakes now, it will be weeks before new cases peak. Trump may not survive even if he does a 180 on fighting the virus.

 

I keep remembering the 'poll' results that showed Hillary annihilating Donald Trump in 2016! She would skewer him like a butterfly on a pin and crush him into oblivion! She would annihilate him like Hitler going into Poland... on and on and on.

Maybe I live a very protected life, sequestered from most of the radical-Democrat sh!t that innundates so much of the rest of the country, but I honestly do not (NOT) personally know even one (ONE) person who plans to vote for Joe Biden in November. Honest!

What I DO know is a lot of people like me, who frankly dislike a number of different things about Trump, but who will vote for him in a HEARTBEAT before even contemplating voting for a demented, decayed, and thoroughly corrupted relic like Joe Biden!

Requires 2/3 votes in House and Senate of Federal Republic of USA Congress
Requires ratification by 3/4ths of State legislatures voting 2/3 in their State House and Senate, plus signed by the State governors
Must stand review by SCOTUS as to the validity of the law by Constitutional precedent.

So basically... not a snowballs chance in Hades , will Pelosi Democrat House proposed bill ever become an actual law that is enforceable
