I allow others to label themselves and defer to the government to decide what is legally a religion. Murder is a violation of the law and trumps religious freedom.

well then let's ban Christianity too, all Christian outfits, ect... cause you never know, even though they don't say anything they may have a God warrior as a parent forcing them to believe their myths

and no dressing up for church, some kids may be being forced to do that against their free will

do you see how ridiculous that sounds?

I am all for arresting parents that abuse their children, not because you don't like their religion... all religion would be banned if that were the case

no it's not, that is nonsense, if it was up to some Christians they would declare their religion was the only true religion... which of course is hog wash

We have plenty of Muslims where I live. Few wear the full garments so many in the West object to. Nobody hear is calling for Sharia or engaging in honor killings or some other such nonsense. On the contrary, many are enlisting in the military and fully assimilating into the USA culture.

Christianity Jesus doesnt tell you to be superior or to kill anyone, some christians may feel themselves like superior or may kill others, but Jesus doesnt teach us those things, its human instinct or gains.. Muhamad on the other hand teaches Islam is Supreme Religion of the World and that All others should die...thats the Quran man...

You don't need a hat to hide a bomb. In fact, putting on a symbol of Islam is going to increase suspicion and thus would be counterproductive. They wear it because it's a custom of their faith. Whether or not they feel oppressed by this will vary. I do not think banning it will be productive even if your goal is to eliminate islam. Oppressed religions, short of genocide, tend to grow stronger because adversity strengthens faith. Just look at the early history of Christianity.

KKK outfits (well, any masks in public worn by adults) are illegal in most southern states, the exception being Mardi Gras festivities.

    For example, Alabama law:
    http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/alcode/13A/11/1/13A-11-9
    http://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/2010/title-16/chapter-11/article-2/16-11-38

That said, I'm against anti-face covering laws. That said, I do think that women shouldn't be allowed to drive (or have driver's licenses with pictures of ) with burkas, as it inhibits the ability to see. I have no problem with hijabs or chadors for driving.

    - - - Updated - - -

Modern nuns don't wear the equivalent of burkhas (which are full face coverings). They wear the equivalents of chadors or hijabs, if they wear any kind of head covering.

The KKK outfit is banned in public in most southern states, except for Halloween and Mardi Gras.

have you read the Jewish religion that both Christianity and Muslimanity is created from.... if they preach stoning in their religious texts, shoudl the entire religion be banned?

you must be very careful in outlawing religious freedom, you can outlaw murder, not the religion

Couldn't vote using the choices provided.

Things have gotten so bad now that banning a piece of clothing is irrelevant and stupidly useless. What civilized humanity must consider now is banning and removing from the entire planet any religion that practices violence, torture, and murder on people who do not embrace it.

Hint: what is the one (ONE) major religion in the world that practices violence, torture, and murder on "infidels" and "unbelievers" today...? All the other major religions in history ceased this kind of insane, monstrous behavior hundreds of years ago. But there is still ONE that does TODAY. It's time to change it from its roots all the way to its leaves, or just get rid of it.

Take thirty minutes and learn what we "infidels" are really dealing with: https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/violence.aspx

No.. That's why it's important to make sure the people who will be doing the voting, are actually hold values which makes them for to maintain our liberal democracies.
well, ask yourself, is there really as big a problem today, in western societies, with christianity as there is with islam? Surely you must acknowledge there's a bigger problem with islam. I'm not saying christian problems are non-existant, but islam's is much worse. how many genital mutilations, honour killings, and terrorist attacks connected to christiantiy are there compared to islam for example? So.. It makes sense that we focus our attention to islam, which is more of a problem. I mean, we know the scale of the problem with islam is much bigger. let's not pretend we don't know that, its just stupid.
yeah, that's called an anecdote. fun thing with anecdotes is that they're not valid as logical arguments. Good for you that all the muslims you know of are good citizens. actually, I think most muslims I know of are also good citizens. However, we can't use our anecdotes to ignore the fact that with muslims as a whole, there is a problem with stuff like misogyny and terrorism. To do that would be literally illogical, and dishonest, even to ourselves.
