Although the article was written by an idiot, who was brought up on Hollywood movies, but the inevitable big war is getting closer every day.
And although in the head of the imbecile who wrote an article after a nuclear strike they continue to work TV, the Internet, sell newspapers and so on, he rightly raises the question of the inevitability of a big war. Oligarchs are afraid to become poor. The international settlement system based on the dollar has come to its logical conclusion. It is obvious. The greatest debts in the history of mankind do not just disappear. The only way to zero out debts is a big war.

Therefore, they force their puppets in a white house, congress and Pentagon to destroy countries and kill people. But now a small war can not maintain the status quo. This requires a big war. Will there be Zombies?

 

Of course .... Now zombies are sitting in front of the TV, but after a nuclear strike they will go out into the streets (those who will survive)

 

I'm planning on dying in a nuclear blast.

 

This is not always possible. Some people wanted to die, for example in Hiroshima or Nagasaki, but were left without skin and did not even have the opportunity to kill themselves.

One question - the little plants that are peeping through the ruble (sorry, rubble) directly in front of our heroic Spetsnaz - Are they supposed to be new growth since the Bombs fell? What did they use for sunlight, water, etc. & if the force of the blast(s) was sufficient to topple buildings so artistically, Why wasn't the ground sterilized altogether? Offhand, the plants look like ferns - hardly pioneer plants, & tricky to grow even in offices sometimes.

& there are no scorch marks on the buildings/rubble that I can see. It looks more like ordinary demolition of buildings - urban renewal kind of stuff, to me. Although the fire/smoke billowing in the sky in the background is appropriately ominous, the foreground & middle ground look very posed.

 

I vote on doing nothing. Really in the end we are all doomed. If it happens at the hand of some angry 3rd world country, so be it. China will not back North Korea if it attacks. So. Really all we are dealing with is an angry dictator, a row boat, a long range trebuchet and a large infantry. We can shoot down anything they throw at us.

 

Better to go out with bang than a whimper.

We can't necessarily shoot down nuclear warheads delivered by ICBMs. They go up above most of our atmosphere and send multiple warheads down, together with decoys, at supersonic speeds.

Conflict with America is a no win situation for North Korea. Even if they win they lose. America will **** them up.

 

How will China respond if we go on the offensive? We can call it defense all we like, but if we're not actually defending against a real attack - and we clearly would not be - then we will be the aggressor, and with Trump at the helm, we can easily be perceived as a hazard to the global community as well. We would be sparking a potentially nuclear war, and for what? To shut up a fat little loudmouth dictator who goaded our president into attacking like a playground bully?

Depends how offensive you get.

If you bomb their missiles/nuke facilities, China will make noises to sooth it's domestic audience.
If you invade they'll proxy arm them to take out your navy. And then all your boys will die.
If you nuke Pyongyang, the Chinese and indeed the Russians will engage in a new era of quietness. China will go very quiet indeed.

China has ambitions in the pacific. they are geared up to kick your navy out. Or rather... replace it.
When you sail out of Taiwan, they sail in.
Rinse and repeat. This is a war of diplomatic manoeuvre.

Russia leaves Sevastopol, no shots fired, you move in. Keep it for 100 years.
Britain leaves Hong Kong. No shots fired. Chinese navy sail in.
South Korea votes for reunification. No shots fired. Russians navy move in.
Taiwan reunifies. no shots fired. Chinese navy move in.
Gibraltar reunifies with Spain. Spanish navy move in.

If you leave a power vacuum they will fill it.

And empires ebb and flow. And the amount that you are physically able to protect/enforce varies from day to day weak to weak and year to year.
Korea is a buffer zone. A place where wars repeatedly occur. Same as Ukraine. It changes hands a lot. So don't get too attached to it.

 

I think there is plenty of silliness in the article. "Take a shower" ? with what, radioactive water ?

If one does manage to find some non radioactive water - the last thing one is going to do is shower with it. Such water would quickly become the most precious resource. (humans can not survive long without water). Showering would then be the equivalent of throwing Gold down the drain.

On a side note ... I know how to take radioactive contamination out of water so your best bet would be to come find someone like me if you have not already been killed in the anarchy that will follow a major nuclear conflict.

 

Anarchy? I don't think it would be quite that bad. The visions of the preppers would not come to pass.
