    Small population barren land that does not support a lot of agriculture fishing industry nearly defunct since the fishing industry collapsed due to over fishing
    What has a lot of people drooling are the “rare earths”.

    China has the market cornered at the moment but Australia is looking to cash in big time. Especially since we have been researching refinement processes

    On one level, Trump’s idea is logical. Greenland is strategically important and has the potential for huge natural resources. Who wouldn’t want it?

    But on another level it is completely moronic. There has never been any indication that Denmark wants to “sell”, that they would consider it if they received an offer, or if the Greenlanders themselves would approve it.

    In fact they’ve just shot down the idea. This was a typical Trumpian fantasy that is completely divorced from reality.

    And his supporters jump on the fantasy bandwagon and enjoy every minute of the crazy ride. Sad.

    You don’t need to own a country to be able to extract its natural resources. Private enterprise does that pretty well.

    What are you laughing at? The ONLY time Article 5 of the NATO treaty (collective defence) has ever been invoked was by the US, after 9/11. This required NATO countries to help in Afghanistan, which they did.

    More likely because the average IQ in Puerto Rico is 85, the same as the average American black. It takes an IQ ≥100 to build a civilization, ≥90 to maintain it. Below that and you get Detroit, Puerto Rico, Haiti, etc.

    Note that in America today, 26% of school kids are Hispanic (average IQ 90), 14% black (average IQ 85), and just 51% white non-Hispanic (average IQ 100). The remaining 9% are mixed race and/or Asian/Pacific Islander/AmerIndian. Giving this latter group an average IQ of 95 (probably generous) yields an average IQ of our school age population of less than 95. We're in the maintaining range for civilization and rapidly headed for the destructive range.
