Who got fired for being critical of Obama, illegals or Muslims? I could see how being critical of a religion would be punishable, but otherwise, I don't think there is any legal justification to fire someone for criticizing a public figure or people who are illegally in the country, unless you are criticizing them for their ethnicity.

Provide PROOF when you make statements of what you believe to be facts. Provide credible, empirical evidence to back up your statements of ‘fact.’

If he criticizes Obama in black face, that is racist. I can see someone being fired for being racist.

All I can say is that I would be subject to termination if I said such things.

The only way we would know for sure is to observe the response when a hypothetical conservative professor at Fresno State wished ill-will on a liberal first-lady.

Why? when you have the most UN-PROFESSIONAL person ever residing in the Whitehouse and right wingers feel his actions are justified.
Horse Sh*t act professional. Tell it like it is , right! Even if you make up facts.

there is no reason to act that way, let alone because others do it.

one can use from marcus aurelius, leave the wrong where the wrong arose, or sen mccain, it is not about who they are it is about who we are.

In the name of culural-marxism (political correctness) the professor who bashed Barbara Bush won’t be disciplined by university because she's is one of the protected groups in California.

When the United States elects someone of the caliber of this individual and he is never chastised then others should be able to spout their feeling and opinions openly with no consequences.
    What is good for one...!

It's not that this woman is hateful, or a racist, or just embarrassing the crap out of Fresno State which could impact donations, it's that her views are 'obviously contrary to the core values of our University.' If someone doesn't believe in the core values of an institution then why did they hire her and why are they keeping her? This woman is probably teaching, or at least influencing her students on things which go against the school's values and that should be enough to terminate her. She doesn't fit.

On this board we've seen stories where college professors support BLM, Islam and illegals while bashing Bush, Trump, Christianity, and conservatives in general. We've even heard stories about students being talked down to by professors due to their beliefs or scored low because of them. Liberal universities always find excuses to keep those people around, but they found a way to get rid of this conservative professor at UCLA:

Conservative UCLA Professor FIRED For His Politics!

There was no 'while I disagree with what was said, I fully respect their right to say it' speech given by the university. Instead they acted immediately and harshly. Those kids are toast.

It seems students are held to different standards than professors.

You mean a professor posting repeatedly that Trump should be murdered is acceptable? Are you claiming that its acceptable to use murder when an election does not go the way you want it to?

The article makes no mention of her advocating murder of President Trump? If she's repeatedly posted that Trump should be murdered, then why hasn't she been arrested by the Secret Service??

The fact of the matter is that if she is giving her opinion it's not a crime; just like some people have advocated that Hillary Clinton should be arrested and executed for treason; it is not a crime to give your opinion under the first amendment whether you or I agree or disagree on the contents of an opinion.

During the Cold War era I had absolutely no problem identifying scumbag Socialists and Marxists regardless of what they called themselves; and I have no trouble doing so today. Pretty much just spit . . . left and you are bound to hit one.

They do, but they are enforced only against Right of Center employees. On the other hand, what are the chances that they have got ANY Right of Center employees?

I went to it and read it. Since the Secret Service only investigated Maischak and no arrests were made, the only conclusion one can come to is that his rants were covered under the first amendment. That being said, If the professors are tenured as in Jarrar's case, they still can be fired, just that it's not an easy road to go down. The University claims that Jarrar's remarks do not represent the university's position and she was speaking as in individual and thus there is no violation of university policy.

Sometimes people say or advocate things which we may find extremely offensive but they think its fine; likewise we at times may say or advocate things which they may find extremely offensive but we think are fine. I think its safe to say that it's a two-way street when it comes to the first amendment.

That professor is a cesspool monster but to claim that the entire school is a cesspool of hate would be like saying that Fox News Network is a cesspool of hate just because most of it's talking heads expound hatred for all except Trump supporters.
