Please point out where I ever suggested that smashing windows counts as peaceful disobedience. A lot of windows got smashed during the civil rights movement....but that does not dismiss the movement.

You can only block someone by touching them. That in itself is not a peaceful move.

Keep an eye on things. This lawfulness will end soon.

 

No you do not have to touch anyone. They must touch you if they wish to force the issue. The distinction is an important one.

You can't equate Finland's system with ours.
1. Finland's population is less than 6 million. The population of the US is 318 million.

2. Finland has approximately 600,000 students and 75,000 teachers. NYC has 1.1 million students and 75,000 teachers.

3. Finland's population is very homogenous. 99% of the people are Finns(93.4 %) or Swedes (5.6%). As you are well aware, we are very diverse with different kinds of people with different languages which have to be addressed in the schools.

4. What they do works well for them. I don't think it would work here.

 

Cmon now Vegas, don't try that after comparing the current crop of....protestors...to Ghandi, MLK etc. You made the comparison, not I.

I did make the comparasion. And those three individuals were called every name in the book and were HATED by the right at the time. No one denies this. History judges them as heroes now but in their day they were HATED by many. Your hate of the current "crop" fits nicely into that narrative.

 

Lol, why does everything always come back to Civil Rights? From gay marriage to blocking government officials, people always come back around to comparing it to Civil Rights.
