You still seem to not understand that being a divisive racist like Sharpton, is clearly not the same as inflammatory political rhetoric, which is equally inflammatory from the democrats and their liberal lemmings, since you seem to have trouble keeping score. Name one thing from those you listed that has used racist comments?

Look, the point I am trying to make is that the GOP is not racist, which you liberals continue to falsely accuse. The south is clearly more racist than the north, west or east, so it doesn't matter what "label" democrat or republican you try and brand on them. The south is made up of a higher number of blacks, so any racism would be certain political death for anyone not supporting equal rights. What does help the democrats with the black vote is they opened the government candy store 24/7, so when anyone votes no matter what their skin color, they will vote for someone that supports them economically, which really goes against the TEA Party and their position of smaller government and less spending

Fact. Those Democrats you refer to changed their party affiliation to Republican right after the CRA was passed.

Fact in my ten years in exile in Alabama the bigots I knew didn't support either main stream political party. They didn't like either political party. In their minds The Republicans were the party of the Rich and the Democrats were trying to give all their crap to black folks. And most of them were ignorant as crap and border line stupid...

Fact the people who voted for the Civil rights act for or against have been dead for a decade of more some a lot more.

 

You can't call your false assumptions "facts". The definition of "Republican" has never changed. The affiliation of CONSERVATIVES swapped from Democrat to Republican. There are still millions of non-conservative Republicans that truly believe in Republicanism. Since the definition hasn't changed, nothing has changed.

 

Your right just many of those who are a part of the party have. My grandfather was a republican as were many black folks back in the 40s, 50s and 60s. The dramatic change started in the 70s after the CR movement took place and many dixiecrats started moving to the repub party and I am not just talking about politicians. Ronald Reagan sealed the deal for you and basically handed the key to the South to the repub party and here we are.

Since when does it matter? For that matter, how do you know that they're just here to flame? The internet provides a way to argue without knowing who a person is. That means that people can let out what their inner thinkings are without people being any the wiser. What PF says, is a good sign of what a lot of other people think.

That doesn't dispute what I wrote though. Today, there are still plenty of Republicans that vote based on REPUBLICANISM and not conservatism or the idiots in office. They vote by the definition of the word "Republican", which is the same as it was for Lincoln.
