The only information I've seen from "most Native Americans" has been from faulty polls. Try going on a reservation and calling everyone there a "redskin." Let me know how that goes.

Also true. We've got one accusation of rape against Biden and 7-8 others of inappropriately touching their shoulders and the like. Still minor compared to the accusations against Trump, but both so far seem to be trash people as far as I'm concerned.

If they actually cared we would have been having this conversation decades ago. You know it. Everyone knows it. But now that cancel culture is the new in thing to do for unemployed crybaby SJWs, we get to hear about this.

The conversation has been going on for decades. The fact that you are only paying attention to it now means nothing. But now that the crybaby reactionary right is paying attention to it, we get to hear about this.

I tend to dismiss allegations made decades after the fact. R or D, doesn't matter.

Well, more powerful forces are behind the pawns.

WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY: Orwellian Marxists Claim Free Speech Letter Is an Attempt to Silence Minorities.

We are all watching the rise of “cancel culture.” Any who dare not immediately, loudly, and repeatedly voice allegiance to the left’s stifling orthodoxy are subjected to an outrage mob and censured, fired, or murdered. 1960s-style liberals like J.K. Rowling and Noam Chomsky wrote a letter in Harper’s lamenting this cancel culture’s attack on free speech. Immediately, 163 pro-cancel culture journalists, academics, and activists shot back with a letter of their own, accusing Rowling and Chomsky, and any that agreed with them of using “coded language” to silence supposedly "marginalized voices" in the name of “free speech.”

A professor is "investigated" for reading from Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail.
A church loses its lease because the pastor “liked” a couple of tweets.
A professional soccer player gets fired for his wife’s tweet.
A former New York Times opinion editor James Bennet resigns amid backlash for publishing Sen. Tom Cotton’s (R-Mo.) op-ed calling for law and order in the George Floyd riots.

Clearly the Redskins will first bow, then kneel.

Until you can debunk this particular poll it's findings stand, even if it misidentified 10% the results would STILL be overwhelmingly against the change.

Why do you object to showing respect for the bravery and courage of Native Americans which is what the logo does?

Already debunked. Your poll relies solely on self-reported Native Americans. It had no way of weeding out the Elizabeth Warrens.

Because this is a fake question. Calling Native Americans "redskins" is not a sign of respect for their "bravery and courage." No one is deluded enough to believe that. Try talking to a Native American one day. "Redskin" isn't a sign of respect.

Nope still stands until you can refute it and yes that is EXACTLY why the logo was chosen so many years ago you think the owners choose it to insult Native Americans, how absurd.

    From the link

"The survey of 504 people across every state and the District reveals that the minds of Native Americans have remained unchanged since a 2004 poll by the Annenberg Public Policy Center found the same result. Responses to The Post’s questions about the issue were broadly consistent regardless of age, income, education, political party or proximity to reservations.

Among the Native Americans reached over a five-month period ending in April, more than 7 in 10 said they did not feel the word “Redskin” was disrespectful to Indians. An even higher number — 8 in 10 — said they would not be offended if a non-native called them that name."

Cavalry? But if that was a joke about John Wayne being a p**** for dodging combat duty, that's pretty funny. My grandfather would have loved that. He forbade us as kids from watching John Wayne movies at his house for precisely this reason. Of course, it was the same reason he hated Reagan.

Again, you mean Cavalry? Cavalry would actually make some since. It could *actually* be a means for respecting someone instead of just pretending to by using a racial slur and trying to pass it off as a compliment.

Again, these were self-identified. Just like all of the people at my all-white high school who regularly talked about their "Black Foot" and "Apache" heritage. Your poll had no one of screening for the Elizabeth Warrens of the world.

I wrote down a list of 3 dozen possible names, but stupidly did not act on them, some real estate agent in Maryland did and trademarked a few dozen so the choices the Wokeskins will have now are greatly limited choices unless they pay this person, ahhhhhhh capitalism, I just wish I had moved quicker.

Again members of tribes 90% not offended and you have not proved that about this poll or the other I cited.

More people are against the NFL's flag kneeling than they are about the Redskin's name. So why aren't they changing that?

Anyway, the NFL lost me, I have zero interest in what a bunch of high paid uneducated and moronic gorillas do. Let them maim themselves while others pay to see it happen, but I'm done.
