So in other words tax slavery...

Why do they poor have to pay taxes??? The poor don't pay taxes, the poor rebel.

Why do you suggest a system where the poor are slaving away for a few dollars while the rich sit back and rake in the billions for themselves???

    You're all heart.

But as you know he was speaking about federal income tax. So your replies to him about this are demonstrably childish and pesky

Your argument was those who are rich enough to gain influence should pay more. Then you said you weren't referring to those making a few hundred grand because they aren't rich enough to gain influence.

Do your own words not make sense?
Why don't these people pay a low tax rate too?

Sorry but I didn't say any such thing. I would appreciate it if you didn't make things up and then pretend I said them. My arguement was not an arguement but an explanation as to why the Trump tax plan is so heavily skewed toward the rich. Namely the plan favors the rich because they have the political clout to get their way. There is no possible other reason for changing the inheritance tax which only the very very rich. Ant the dropping of thevrate on pass through income is very similar. It will basically only benefit those at the top bracket.

That said Trump has lied when he said his plan is to benefit the middle class. Nobody at this point believes that lie.

You appear confused again. Here is your post the first sentence of which is pretending I said something I never said. Understand my objection to your making things up now?

" Your argument was those who are rich enough to gain influence should pay more. Then you said you weren't referring to those making a few hundred grand because they aren't rich enough to gain influence."

Now try and find the post where I said " Those who are rich enough to gain influence should pay more" Giving the post number would be appreviated.

Conservatives often try to make these false statements like "the bottom 50% pay no taxes" and only after being confronted claim they were only talking about income taxes, which make up roughly only 1/4 the total taxes Americans pay.

Standard RW propaganda methodology. Good catch.

He spoke of a system where the poor have to pay their fair share of taxes or have to work it off if they can't pay. Which they can't.

Simply government treating all persons equally.
Everyone should contribute equally to the maintenance/funding of our system of government, if not in dollars then in labour.
NINO - Nothing In, Nothing Out.
The system you speak of was created in 1913, under Woodrow Wilson a Progressive Liberal Democrat, and unlike gold/silver which had remained relatively constant in quantity and value our fiat currencies constantly grow in quantity while diminishing in value resulting in constant inflation.
The only ones slaving away might be a small number of the working poor/middle class who are attempting to become economically independent from government.

The longevity and quality of survival depends more on logic than emotion.

Yes and none of that supports your claim that I said " those who are rich enough to gain influence should pay more"

    But nice try.

Considering the direct monetary benefit many/most/all? the bottom 50% receive from government, it's probably true that any tax actually collected is exceeded by the benefit received, including FICA tax.
Those who have no income as a result of their OWN labours truly live tax free.

I voted trump. Hope another bracket gets added for 500k plus earners but is withheld as a bargaining tool. Else single term president. Voting for Bernie 2020.

Ok, so you don't think they should pay more because their income allows them to gain access?

You are doing the dancing. You lied about what I said and are clearly unable to back up your claim. Here is your statement to me. Now back it up or at least stop lying. Give the post number where I made that statement.

" Your argument was those who are rich enough to gain influence should pay more."

Oh and by the way that statement by you was in post #56. See unlike you I can back up my statement that you lied.
