    No, it does not.

You don't seem to understand that you live in a federal republic, in which the States are sovereign.

The framers of the Constitution chose a federation, because only a federation can reflect the great diversity in population, demographics, geography, geology, economy and other facets of the US as a whole.

Naturally, it's okay for each State to be different, taking different approaches to different problems.

Your attempts to crow-bar this federation in to a centralized unitary State will ultimately fail, resulting in civil strife, but you probably don't care about that.

If we did away with states' rights, and the nation took a turn to the right, you would regret it.

Most folks that speak highly of nationwide blanket legislation live in a homogeneous area. Those closer to problems know more about them and have a better chance at formulating a solution and implementation plan.

Now gee, there's a plan that might work.

But... It will probably hurt Progressives and TG's feelings.

Returning anything to the States is a horrible idea.

Too many of the States are controlled by Reactionary Fever Swamp gerrymandered GOP legislatures.

But what is great is if you dont like that you can go to a state that is not. Also if you do like that you can stay. Or even better run for office and change things.

it's never going to happen. We don't need 50 states that are like 50 different countries. There are some things that are solely up to the states and that makes sense. But it makes no sense to have completely different standards for say manufacturing or what not, as it would be impractical for companies that have places in different states to have completely different rules. And you can't have one state allowing pollution to be dumped into waters that flow and harm other states. You can't have states that want to teach revisionist history and anti science nonsense like creation, or have them violate people's constitutional rights. Because people often need protecting from the states

A 3rd restroom? REALLY? Sorry pal, there's a new sheriff in town. We're getting rid of stifling unnecessary government regulations and unwarranted expense, not the other way around. The tail will no longer wag the dog, and
cater to the tiniest fraction of butthurt minorities who are now offended. Unbelievable. Before you go off unhinged, I also believe the federal government should get out of the drug war business regarding certain controlled substances like marijuana and leave it up to the states. You can't have separation of powers in one instance and not another.

Bullcrap! The US was designed so States have power locally so that the people have power. We do not need a centralized federal government forcing people to do things they do not want. So suck it up. This is how it is.

    Unsupportable nonsense.
The Federal government only has certain powers; those powers not given to it lie with the states.
Pulling back federal overreach puts power back in the hands of the people as each state legislature is better able to handle the needs and wants of the people it represents than the federal government ever could.

Adapt? Are you kidding. Human Beings no longer have to adapt to anything. They just complain and force their views down your throat and if that doesn't work, they burn(literally or figuratively) down your business and call it a protest.

Still waiting for my constitutional right and my CC permit from GA to follow me and be recognized in NYC like the unconstitutional "right" I have to marry another guy to be recognized in GA if it was issued in NYC.

That sounds fine and dandy until what "you" want doesn't align with that the Federal Government does.

You say that individual state power should be diminished and Federal Law should trump everything to keep the balance. So you used California as an example so I will as well.

Sure lets go ahead and issue an executive order making it Federal Law that ALL STATES WILL install a 3rd bathroom for transgender folks and ALL STATES WILL comply via federal law.

Next we will issue an executive order making it Federal Law that ALL STATES WILL allow open carry, concealed carry, unlimited magazine size, and unlimited ammunition, of ALL firearm types.

Not so fun is it? We'll see how well California likes that. It's all good when the federal law makes everybody do what YOU want, but I bet California would have a huge problem with a federal law making them allow me to walk around the mall with my AK-47 on my back.

The states (an you know who you are) have demonstrated over and over that they are incapable of protecting their citizens rights.

Requiring women to undergo invasive ultrasound procedure to get an abortion...
Permitting discrimination in public accommodations due to race, religion, or gender...
Codifying racial segregation in schools and public facilities...
    The whole Jim Crow thing...

And the whole defense for this is "States Rights."

States can do all sorts of things but what states cannot do is usurp the protections of the Constitution.

And left to their own devices that is exactly what the states, or several of them (again, you know who you are) will do.

What is it with you guys and your obsession with making sure old men get to pee with little girls? Leave it alone. If you got a wiener, you use the mens room. Other way around, women's. You guys are so obsessed with making sure everyone gets to pee together you don't stop and think about how ridiculous you sound.

    FAIL

State firearms laws apply no matter the race, gender, religion, or sexuality of the gun owner. Constitutional

"Bathroom Laws" target people BECAUSE of their gender. Unconstitutional.
Abortion laws target people because of their gender. Unconstitutional.
Voting laws, like those found unconstitutional in Texas and North Carolina target people because of their race. Unconstitutional.

If you had paid attention, you would've seen my solution to the bathroom issue isn't having "old men pee with little girls." It's either making restrooms gender-neutral altogether, or install a third that is gender-neutral. The problem would easily be solved, and everyone would be happy. And throw in a condom and tampon dispenser in the third restroom to make sure there is full satisfaction.

This problem could easily be fixed. But we should have learned long ago how Trump fixes problems. Do it wrong, or not do it at all.

This would cost quite a bit of money. Why should we spend so much money just to appease a very tiny number of people? Why can't they use the washroom that corresponds to their anatomy?

Tell you what about gun control in California?

States have the power to regulate firearms within their borders. What they cannot do is:

    Prohibit gun ownership altogether
Apply regulations in a way that violates individual rights

Now, are there any laws in California that have been found unconstitutional by the SCOTUS?
Does California continue to enforce those laws DESPITE a SCOTUS ruling?

    Please, illuminate us.

    Indeed.
Transgender isn't an actual gender, it's a status.
