Before RvW millions of women had abortion.....see, abortion wasn't invented in 1973...it has been around for hundreds if not thousands of years, it isn't going to go away.

It's been around about as long as humans have been "being reckless" about having sex...The Beginning.

Freedom came with the Pill in the 60's .

FORCING women to give birth when they don't want to IS punishment.

Which brings up the question, when is a woman's fetus NOT hers anymore? Is it hers until she signs it away before surgery? If she does sign it away, can she expect to be put in danger because the Physician is instructed to perform a procedure more aimed at the welfare of the baby's (OOPS sorry I meant 'fetus') most valuable organs?

Also, IF those organs can be sold, shouldn't the woman be compensated somehow? Free abortion maybe? Maybe she could pay for her abortion and then demand a certain % of the sale of her aborted child's (OOPS again....) organs.

I tend to favor rights are due a person when they are viable outside the womb.
I think dismemberment or euthanasia in the womb prior to the extraction of a viable fetus in which such practices have no impact on the physical health of the mother are unconstitutional.
Unethical behavior happens. Not long ago a young US girl (8-10ish) with CF was dying and put on the transplant list in the same manner all those ahead of her and behind her were. She became some sad poster child and her name and story were plastered everywhere. Due to media and social pressure she was moved to the top of the list and got new lungs. Her new lungs may buy a few years but her body will attack them. She has Cystic Fibrosis.
Those lungs that bought her a few years thanks to media and public were denied to someone otherwise healthy that could have had many decades.
Surrogate mothers, egg doners, women wishing to give her newborn up for adoption... They can all make a lot of money.
Most abortions in the US happen before 12 weeks. They are cheap... The morning after pill is available over the counter at almost every drugstore...
I dont know if anything useful or profitable can be done with a first trimester aborted fetus. Anyone know?

This does not establish a link. It instead directs me to a book.

That's the thing. No one should force anything one way or the other. People should be able to engage in whatever risky behavior so long as they are not harming anyone or endangering anyone else. It's just that they should be the one's financing their own risky behaviors. The social moral value would be self regulation and it would be self imposed.

No one forces women to give birth. Consider the following analogy:

A motorcycle rider must account for their own safety. The ride itself comes with major risks so for the rider to be at their safest, they will obtain some lessons, a decent helmet, good gloves, protective jacket, and proper footwear. The gear and lessons should minimize damage to the rider if they should get in an accident. Nonetheless, the rider alone is responsible for any damage done to his person and his motorcycle if an accident occurs. It is not the role of government to mitigate the rider's risky behavior.

Pregnancy should be the same exact way. If supporters want to fund abortion mills, cool, but the government has no business giving any monies to these institutions.

Note also that aside from rape, pregnancy is a preventable scenario. No one forces a woman to get pregnant to put her on the path to abortion in the first place.

If there is legal profit to be made from fetus-parts shouldn't the manufacturer of those parts (the 'mother') benefit? Why should PP or the Physician make any more than their standard abortion fee?

Frankly, I think all women contemplating an abortion should demand a sonogram and NOT sign away their rights to the fetus. Once they see the picture of their fetus, they can be in a better position to barter its parts. After all, PP seems to be ready to do it.

In the abortion clinic a sonogram is done prior to the procedure, before anesthesia. They need to locate the embryo in the womb. In the first 8-12 weeks it looks like a peanut on a typical sonogram moniter.
I am unaware of any use, profit, benefit aborted first trimester embryos are used for.
Are you accusing private practitioners selling aborted embryos?
Thanks to the over the counter, affordable, discrete Morning After pill, the frequency of abortions (percentage) has decreased.

Law requires a special license to drive a bike on public roads. You take a test and are graded on your ability to demonstrate you can safely drive a bike on the road. Law requires you wear a helmet, drive the speed limit, carry auto insurance. The rider alone is not responsible for any damage or injury if an accident occurs. Rearend a biker in you SUV in America. The government in America does quite a bit of intruding regarding risky behavior. That trend is going to increase in the US, I'd bet.
A girl has 72 hours to get to any pharmacy....In my city alone there are 3 CVS stores, 2 Riteaids, 2 Walgreen's, and 5 grocery store pharmacies at Kroger, Walmart, and Publix. They all sell the Morning After pill, otc, no script needed for $50 or less. I wish I had had that option years ago...

Last part is not my position. My only position is that none of these arguments support the need for the public writ large to provide funding for Planned Parenthood. But this should not matter because females are more than capable of controlling and funding their own birth control.

Yep. Don't disagree with any of this. I will say that I prefer the government withdraw itself from mitigating consequences of people engaging in risky behaviors.

Yes, women can and do withdraw consent to be pregnant. It's called abortion, a legal medical procedure. It's one of those options you just mentioned.

If the smoker and the motorcyclist have no money or insurance everyone pays for them. But I don't see why because, as you say, people are more than capable of controlling and funding their own medical needs, aren't they??

Yes, the Federal government and PP CAN, and do, separate the monies for abortion and other health services.

The fact that people keep bailing out others for being irresponsible may speak to how this country is largely in debt. The bail-outs never stop.

For your second statement, is there some documentation that depicts this separation of monies for abortion and other health services by chance?

There must be since PP is investigated and audited by the government (and has never been found "cooking the books" but always doin' the "legal")

You: """The fact that people keep bailing out others for being irresponsible may speak to how this country is largely in debt. The bail-outs never stop""

Baloney ....ya, the Repub Conservatives don't mind bailing out banksters and Wall Street gangsters ( and paying for wars) but helping the poor, not so much....

Ya, they think helping those who need help is so un-American..everybody knows that helping each other totally weakens a country,

Yup the government should stay out of abortion, take all laws off the books concerning abortion and certainly the government shouldn't interfere and make laws against abortion.
It IS just a medical procedure...the government should not interfere....oh wait, it had to because women's rights were threatened by people who wanted the government to interfere who are the same people who now don't want the government to interfere! :)

So there is no documentation that the public can analyze on PP's books. Hmmm.

Yes, I'm talking about Wall Street bail-outs too.

Helping those in need is something people can do on their own. The guy who smokes and incurs cancer, the motorcyclist who rides without insurance, and the woman who has sex and gets pregnant aren't needy. They are risk takers who need to fund their own habits.

When people ask government to pay for damage control because of their stupid, they ask to be controlled and regulated...

I did not say there is no documentation that the public can analyze. Call PP and ask, google it, you're not needy, do it yourself.
