Southern Avenger disagrees, and I'm with him on that. He actually knows the Pauls, but even if he didn't, what he says would ring true to me anyway.

It's alright to sacrifice political capital, so long as you aren't also sacrificing principle.

a conspiracy theorist is someone who believes in the conspiracy THEORY of the governments that 19 muslims were behind 9/11 or the THEORY of the governments Obama is a us citizen.

all those 2 things are is THEORYS with no facts to prove it.. speaking of Rand Paul,i dont want him in.He is just like Michael Moore. There as controlled opposition fooling americans into thinking he is on your side when he is not.He proved that saying he would endorce CFR member Romney over his dad.He is a traiter to the american people.I trust him about as much as I do those other bastards Obama and romney.

it should be obvious from his sig that he is not interested in the truth. That his boss has sent him here for a government agenda.

Ron Paul lost because he is bat crap crazy, and a large percentage of his followers are stoned senseless.

It did not help him that he accepted money from slime like Don Black.

It did not help him that one of the groups most vigorously endorsing him on the internet was We Are Change, some of the most disgusting and in-your-face whacktards in the 9/11 twoof community.

Alex Jones was also a bit of an albatross around the old looney tune's neck as well.

America has not been dumbed-down enough to accept such an obvious whackjob as a serious leader, especially in a time of national crisis.

And, as for that drooling moron son of his, I would suggest, if he wishes to have any kind of career in American politics, that he try to disassociate his name with that crazy Russian immigrant who wrote all those tedious fantasy novels back in the 1950s.

No matter how many times you spell it out to them dummies style,it doesnt register with them.:weed: the simple logic that the establishment did not care if clinton got in and 92 or if Bush got relected because they were both CFR members and they were happy as long as ross perot did not get in since he was not a member of that evil organization or that Obama got reelected or romney, that they did not care as long as it wasn't paul since paul unlike them,is not a member of that evil organization, leads me to believe half the posters at this forum are doing this :weed:since they simply cant read and understand english.

Regarding We Are Change, Ron Paul does not subscribe to their truther take on the events of 9-11. Rather, he has cited blowback, a term used by the CIA, as the reason we were hit as retaliation for our interventionist foreign policy, which is also the take of CIA expert Michael Schuer, the head of the unit assigned to capture Bin Laden. Scheur may know a thing or two about the motivation of Bin Laden.

It is also a misconception to regard any or all Paul supporters as being stoners or advocates of drug use. Paul has even discouraged drug use, but is an advocate of states' rights as well as the government not telling people what they can and cannot put in their own bodies.

You wrote America has not been dumbed down enough to elect the likes of Ron Paul. However, America has been dumbed down enough to elect George W. Bush after the creation of the TSA, DHS, and Patriot Act. America has been dumbed down enough to elect Obama twice. America has been dumbed down enough to run John McCain and Mitt Romney as presidential candidates. The left of America has been dumbed down enough to re-elect Obama after he promised to end the wars overseas and close GITMO while his infringement on civil liberties and the war effort are not only a continuation of Bush's policies, but are actually reved up several notches, the war continues and GITMO is still up and running. Not to mention the drone strikes on civilians. How's that for a peaceful president promising to end the war? The right of America is dumbed down enough to believe John McCain and Mitt Romney are conservatives. They even thought W was a conservative.

But, hey, whatever you do, don't EVER support, vote for, or elect the likes of Ron Paul. Obviously, we have it so good without him in office. The government grows, civil liberties erode, the currency inflates, and we are approaching a 17 trillion dollars debt and growing with wars having no end in sight and a continuing interventionist foreign policy we are continuing to spend countless dollars on. Not to mention the foreign aid we are giving to terrorists.

    Congratulations!

Ron Paul would've been the best candidate, but as we've been so inclined to believe by the media, and shown by recent elections political parties, and lobbyists control everything in politics. He would've been an honest president serving the people and supporting the constitution. There wouldn't have been so much unconstitutional action as we've seen the past 5 years with President Obama.

excellent post,be carfful, thats way too much logic, common sense and rational thinking for him to comprehend,.you will overload and fry his b rain with way too much logic like this.hee hee.the only thing you thats off here is again,WE dont elect and put these people in office, the establishment does.they rig elections all the time.

while true that paul hasnt come out and said the truth about my user name,he did however say there needed to be a new investigation. He knows what went down.He just doesnt say it publicly because the ignorant public thinks he is a tin foil hatter enough as it is falling for the medias lies and slanders they have made against him.

The reason Ron Paul was not elected was actually pretty simple.

This is how you see Ron Paul:

However, the vast majority sees Ron Paul like this:

I have to say you pushed a button here. You're right, if the republican party doesn't want them to run, they'll find ways to shut them up. One of the major problems with our two party system. The backroom selection of our leaders and the ruse of our elections system.

No, is pretty much true. Most people see him as a racist, a nutcase, or a crank. Those that support him can live in a fantasy world all they want, that is the truth. He was no more electable then Jessie Jackson was, an outside fringe candidate.

You could have stopped typing with "Ron Paul simple."

Ron Paul is undoubtedly a nice, old gentleman, probably a decent sort and a good neighbor, who suffers from the problem of being a political simpleton. I'm fairly sure I would like him personally, but I wouldn't vote for him on a bet.

This is the problem with conspiracy theorists however. People throw out crazy statements like "95% of people would have voted for him if he was on the ballot", when in reality he could not even get a sizeable percentage of Republicans (around 40% of the voting population) to vote for him. And the only Democrats who would have voted for him would have been their fringe element as well.

But everything is a conspiracy, quod erat demonstrandum their guy lost because of a conspiracy.

Most of the people who see Paul as such also see McCain, Bush, Graham, and Romney as conservatives. Others who believe this also believed Obama would restore civil liberties eroded under Bush, close GITMO and bring the troops home. Well, he did bring them home from Iraq, just years later than he promised, not to mention balancing this one thing out with extreme interventionist policies of regime changes (not for the better) in Libya and Egypt, encouraging regime change (not for the better) in Syria and blowing up weddings, funerals, and farmers with drones.

The people who believe Ron Paul is nuts also believe regulation, taxation, and the Federal Reserve are good for the economy. The believe in big government and are enemies of liberty. They are also in denial we are losing the republic and becoming an empire.

We currently have over 700 military bases worldwide scattered throughout 130 countries. In recent history we have strongly participated in regime changes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, and Libya. The changes in Iraq, Egypt, and arguably in Libya haven’t been great, to say the least. As for Syria, our government has been involved to an extent by giving aid and weapons to terrorists and could possibly get involved further to include air support and boots on the ground. By the way, it is arguable the changes in Syria would not be beneficial to the people as well.

Look up the Project for a New American Century and their connection to war profiteers. This is actually the reason for invading Iraq. PNAC, a neo-conservative think tank, had the goals of invading Iraq and changing the regime for over a decade. It was stated all we needed was another Pearl Harbor to justify an invasion. We got our second Pearl Harbor, invaded and troops stayed for over a decade. I believe the troops are patriots and sign up to do the right thing, but often they are manipulated and used by politicians.

We continue to invade and occupy in the name of “a new world order” or “spreading democracy.” As nice as that sounds, maybe other countries don’t want a regime change or a change to their type of government. Who are we to impose our will on them? Why can’t we mind our own business? Not to mention the fact “spreading democracy” the last few times has resulted in empowering Sharia Law and the Muslim Brotherhood and oppressing the people.

This stuff isn’t limited to Bush, Cheney, the Republicans, and PNAC. Look at Johnson and Vietnam, Clinton and Bosnia, Clinton and Kosovo and Obama with Libya, Egypt, and Syria. Interventionist foreign policies are not a monopoly to any one party. They are both guilty of invading, occupying and imposing our will on others, changing their regimes, and empowering entities sometimes we later knock down.

This goes into another reason why he is unelectable. Ron Paul is a Libertarian, and the "Loosertarians" simply have no chance of getting any major political support in this country. They have a fragmented political stance, generally being of the conspiracy driven fringes of the Right, or the Anarchist driven fringes of the Left. You can continue to spew all of the dogma and propaganda that you want, and you do not see that is the very kind of "Indoctrination Attempt" that causes most of the Center of the parties to turn their backs on you.

Can you dispute any of the truth I posted so you can successfully dismiss it as dogma and propaganda?
