Not the left, the left aren't the ones who have declared the free press the enemy of the people, nor recommended laws to restrict what a free press can print, sorry my friend, those measures have come straight out of the White House

The lawsuits about "reinstating" the rules....because they have been repealed. There has been no injunction issued by a Court. The repeal has happened. There is no difference with my Comcast or AT&T service today, then there was in 2016, then there was in 2014. NN never said what a provider could charge for a service.

Sometimes, it just fascinates me to watch pure ignorance on the internet. Thanks. Providing levels of service is something most fascists should be familiar with. It's surprising that when you attack their access to porn though... then it starts the revolution. But hey, think about all that energy you might be saving while you wait because you can't afford better service......

Getting back to Russia though. Is this something the US really needs to worry about? Does Russian RUNET DNS really scare anyone? If folks in Russia are limited by their government, shouldn't they be the ones who need to address and fix their government? Or is this just another neo-lib meme on how US interests must be imposed on the world (or at least those who scare progressives) when it suits them?

No laws have been pursued by the White House to restrict the free press. Trump said during his campaign; "I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money.” I underlined the important part.

When the press print unverified and unsubstantiated hit pieces designed to destroy people, then yes they should be open to libel laws. Just reference MAGA hat kid. The media went on attack without doing their homework, and are now going to be sued, and rightfully so.

Fake News is so bad now that the MSM will never recover any dignity. Forgedaboutem.

I'm worried about ordinary people's info being hacked, not the goofy Facebook theoretical factoid on elections.

A SSN brings a buck, individual credit card data $100, and an individual's medical records are worth $1000 on the dark web.

Why doesn't the inept federal government do something about that? They're too stupid and can't. Even NSA got hacked. Idiots.

THAT is debatable, coming close to 1984. Maybe not Big Brother, but Big Hi Tech Corporations. This is, after all, the Age Of Snowden. The guys wearing the tinfoil hats might have been right after all....
