    well that is all well and fine, but if so, saying hannity is a client, when he isnt to a federal judge ranks pretty high as being stupid.

    yep, I'm pretty sure withholding information from the fbi is obstruction of justice and we know Clinton was sharing information with his lawyer that was important.

    Client attorney privilege does not exist when the attorney commits a crime or is complicit in that crime with the client.

    Why is this so hard for the right to understand ?

    It may be rue, or not be true, but there are 2 possible crimes by Cohen that have some pretty good legs:
    1. Cohen paid off Stormy Daniels with RNC or Trump Campaign funds
    2. Cohen was in Prague to meet with the Russians

    You don't have multi-million dollar lawyers defending you. Anyone here doubt that if OJ didn't spend $10M on his defense team, he'd be on death row?

    No crime. He's not a subject of investigation.

    But his lack of ethics has been exposed. Not that this is the first time Hannity has been exposed as having no ethics.

    Hannity has defended Cohen on air many times, never revealing he is a client/friend of Cohen's.

    His denial after being outed: “I have known Michael Cohen for a long time, but he has never represented me in any matter. I have never received an invoice or paid legal fees to him. I have had questions, brief discussions and asked for his input on certain matters, but he has never represented me on any case with any third party.”


    Key words: "I have known Michael Cohen for a long time".

    No, it requires some level of evidence. And in this case with it being a lawyer, AND getting it a no-knock warrant, their must have been some pretty solid evidence.

    The thing you are missing is this:
    It is Cohen's records that are being sought not his clients.
    So as far as the law in this case is concerned there is no client. But if in the course of looking at Cohen's stuff for Cohen's alleged crimes they come across information that may be protected by client privilege they need to know who his clients are. Simple question.
    It's much different than what you all have been crying about Clinton. They were after Clinton and couldn't do it because they couldn't go thru her lawyers because she was a client.

    yeah...like the russia collusion evidence but not the mt everest level of evidence against Hillary. Got it...the law is only for some people but not others.

    Nope. You have to have probable cause, and you don't.

    In the case of searching a lawyer's office, the standard of probable cause is very high.

    Cohen's and Trump's public statements alone mean Cohen violated campaign finance laws. So what they said in public was probably used as part of the probable cause to search Cohen's effects.
