Looks like it's also in the Rust Belt, and New York and California, both very "progressive" states.

His mom made that choice, why should anyone of taken that choice away from his mom and gave it to the government?

Why does the right so badly want a big daddy government deciding everything for us - thought we were the land of the free?

They provide a number of services to people that need them. Not just abortion, not just people of color.

At least, that's the way it is on this planet.

Here is the video of Scott reacting to Yellen's callus hateful comments.

I am deeply disappointed in Yellen. Wall street obviously loved her choice as treasury sec but she has proven herself to be more radical than either of the 2 Obama appointees in that job. Geitner and Lew were conservatives compared to this loon.

I'll never forget what a certain liberal member said here once.... That's the only way poor black people can make money is to sell drugs...

So this means any black person you see that succeeded despite their upbringing in poverty get that way by selling drugs.

This is not one the abortion debate threads. The issue on this thread is that aborting black babies is a democrat party economic strategy which is sick and disgusting.

Note to moderators and other posters. Fresh air used the word "mom" which is transphobic hate speech. It suggests only women can have babies.

    It is birthing person!

Right. Just ask Janet Yellen..... Having said what she did, it's a wonder the left hasn't tried to cancel her already...

I'm pro-choice but Colorado goes WAY to far, allowing abortions all the way up to birth. Late term abortions are is extreme policy which then ignites the right to push back harder with extreme policy of their own. What the democrats proposed in the senate to make law is a prime example. Why not present something both sides could deal with?

It's because this is just more divisive rhetoric to divide this nation! This is the only non-partisan thing we have in this nation right now... We agree to be 100% apposed to each other.

And the vast vast majority of “late term abortions” are for foetal abnormality incompatible with life

Once people understand that they usually agree with this - can you imagine carrying a baby that you know will die shortly after birth and is only “alive” because of the umbilical cord. Every inquiry into “are you getting ready for the baby?” What will it be boy or girl”? Are they to tell these people that this will be a dead baby? Can you imagine going through that? If born these poor wee ones are usually given “palliative care” no matter how malformed they are they are loved and grieved and palliative is the right thing to do but this in the minds of some has become “post birth abortion”

    How heartless and cruel

And I would be okay if these were defined in the legislation, however Colorado’s law does not make a distinctions or regulations around a time or stage during pregnancy.

Agree to define the exceptions and then make it legal to terminate any pregnancy up to 23 weeks. You'd get allot of us on board if that were the case.

I second this. Please do something about @FreshAir incorrect gender reference
I’m a man and I just made a butt baby so this notion that only women can have babies is absurd!

To be honest you don’t have to define anything. Canada has no restrictions on abortion at any stage and they do not have women lined up for late term abortions. Honestly please think. How many women will go six months into a pregnancy and suddenly decide they want an abortion? Late term abortions are almost exclusively wanted pregnancies gone horribly terribly wrong. As for “defining” this? How? One of the most common reasons for late term abortion is a condition, for some strange reason more common in girls, called anencephaly. That is where the brain does not develop and the skull does not close. There is a “hindbrain” the bit that keeps the heart beating and the lungs moving but all the thinking bits are missing. Some of these poor wee ones have lived a couple of years but the vast majority die soon after birth. There was of course though the case of “baby K” Stephanie Keene

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_K

Reading this you can almost feel the distress of the medical and nursing staff knowing they were putting that poor wee one through hell

It’s kind of a scary thought that some in the government would even argue that population control is an acceptable form of poverty control. Are poor people that much of a nuisance

How does the Republican thought process get there?

Oh! I know! It is the religiously held belief that poverty only has one cause - laziness

So you think poverty justifies abortion. Is that what you are saying?

do you think poor people should have lots of children?

if the Government is gonna force people to have children, then the taxpayers need to help support those children

The problem is that they’re destroying another body that has completely different DNA… it’s not their body. Unless it poses a life threatening risk it shouldn’t be allowed. IMO., But I believe it to be a states issue. Not a federal one. So I believe the decision should be handed down to the states

it’s also not forced child birth. It was their decision to part in an act that can get you pregnant anyway. It’s called consequences

That’s better than murdering them. And if they don’t want children take the pill, have your spouse go get snipped, or take any option to try not to get pregnant. It’s still their choice to even participate in the act. Murdering babies so you don’t have to tell a guy to wear a condom or to get on the pill is not acceptable
