    Posing for a pretend gag photo where it appears he's not even touching her is not sexual assault.
    It is intellectually dishonest to just cite an excerpt. Here again is the actual DOJ definition:

    Sexual assault is any type of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient. Falling under the definition of sexual assault are sexual activities as forced sexual intercourse, forcible sodomy, child molestation, incest, fondling, and attempted rape.

    In very poor taste, but she was not a CHILD and he was a comedian, he admitted what he did and apologized. The Alabama bible thumping pedophile will not even admit what he did, despite the fact that he was banned from a mall because of his lecherous pedophile ways.

    Why does the right have such a difficult time discerning things that correlate and things that do not.

    McConnell: Ethics Committee should review Franken allegations


    Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is calling on the Senate Ethics Committee to review allegations that Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) kissed and groped a woman without her consent in 2006.

    “As with all credible allegations of sexual harassment or assault, I believe the Ethics Committee should review the matter. I hope the Democratic Leader will join me on this. Regardless of party, harassment and assault are completely unacceptable — in the workplace or anywhere else," McConnell said in a statement.

    Leeann Tweeden, a TV host and sports broadcaster, accused Franken of groping her, without her consent, while she was asleep. She provided a photo as evidence. The incident happened in December 2006, she said, when she and Franken, then a comedian, were on a USO Tour to "entertain our troops."

    Franken apologized on Thursday, saying, "I certainly don’t remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann."

    Ok so let's apply some logic to this accusation. Franken appears to be gropping (touching) a protective vest which is covering a fully clothed woman's breast area and the Moron is smiling and posing for a picture.
    If he is actually making contact with her clothing that is her private space and he appears to be touching her dual use organs aka breasts he did commit sexual assault. He should be punished like any other member of Congress who commits such an act. If he is goofing around and simulating the act of breast groping he needs to be censured by the Senate for acute hyperactive stupidity.

    I would like to say he should be thrown out of the Senate for just plain being stupid but we would lose 70 members pretty much evenly split between both parties.

    How hypocritical you try to ignore this... in favor of this:

    which in no way is meant to be the only or all inclusive definition of assault given the first part of that citation.
