Why not say it again..."free speech is free"
    When it has limitations.

The concept of free speech is free opinion not free to promote/threaten/incite shooting a President. Gee, your country has had enough assasinations dont you think?

I dont think you have a grasp of law. See, laws are there for a purpose eg say it is law that a bicycle is only to be ridden on the road not sidewalk. Would you issue a monetary fine to a 3yo child for not riding on the busy road? No. It could be determined in a court that the purpose of that law introduced was meant to keep teens and adults from riding on a sidewalk.

Hence the purpose of free speech isnt to go far as to say you can absolutely say anything you like. That's taking the law too far.

What she did was entirely legal; she should not have been harassed for it.

She incited no one, she threatened no one, she asked a question. Gee, we have this thing called the Constitution.

    Someone doesn't. Makes no sense.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Complete nonsense.

This argument has been made a billion times.

You CANNOT yell fire in a theatre without repercussions.
You CANNOT yell bomb on an airplane without repercussions.
You CANNOT publicly announce you’re going to kill your neighbor without repercussions.

DIRECT calls to violence or creating a panic can cause harm to others, this is where free speech ends.

That said, whenever an inference is required, or indirect issue, such as hate speech, should be protected in free speech. **** the notion of hate speech. That’s the ugly of freedom, some people are intolerant. So I tell those people whining about racists, etc. deal with it. Free speech is free.

But calls to put a bullet in someone’s head, “can someone...” she says is a request by basically any interpretation of the English language. There’s consequences to that only an idiot wouldn’t see, like her.

Edit: for example if she said “if trump were assassinated, I would cheer.” That’s fine, free speech. Do you see the difference?

    Irrelevant.

    Irrelevant.
    Irrelevant.
    Irrelevant/false.

    Irrelevant.

    Yes. Agreed. Yes. Okay. Yes.

Complete nonsense; completely false. No consequences; what she did was perfectly legal.

Okay... Yes. Between what? What she said was fine; protected free speech. Do you understand?

Direct vs. commentary. To say, “I would be fine if the president was dead, happy actually.” Is completely fine. She can dance, call him every name and hope his corpse is desecrated for all I care. Totally free speech.

To ASK, to actively request violence, has been CONSISTENTLY not protected by free speech. You cannot publicly ask for the murder of ANYONE.

That’s the difference. I understand free speech, and why it’s necessary to limit certain comments, when they can lead to harm of others. You can express your views without being an idiot, this lady is not capable of such a feat.

Edit: the consequences of such actions, at the very least, is you’re going to get asked about it. That’s what I’m saying, and should have differentiates. Should there be a charge? Probably not, but such a thing should be investigated IMO. Why? Because people in this country are lunatics. Literally. If you’re on one side of the isle politically, you’re not in reality.

    False. Yes. Yes. Yes. Okay.

Nonsense. Nonsense, and she didn't do that.

Apples are apples. You don't, though it has its limits. Well, SOME people can... :)

She was harassed; this should not have happened. Wha'? No. Correct; no. Why indeed. Nonsense. Nonsense. Nonsense.

People nowadays find it an easy task to explain other human actions/reaction is to label them as crazy, bipolar, borderline, schitzo and so on when they could be just damn bad people, misguided, brain damaged through various means, or totally different not in front of a piece of electronic equipment...the written word.
Fact is that we humans are 9 million shades of grey and not necessarily black and white mentally. The bulk of us have over history made laws based on setting up boundaries for public safety.
So, we are all crazy even you, just some more so than others.
claiming someone is crazy without proper diagnosis doesnt not rubber stamp your own mental state as being completely normal.

Please read her statement again. This isn't healthy. I've said the same thing about some of Trump's statements.
