The Dr. Ian Stevenson research tends to confirm that all of us come back again and again and again and again!!!??? http://www.near-death.com/experiences/reincarnation01.html
Thank you for giving me this other angle to research this case! http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/peltier/peltieraccount.html
The more I read about this case the more convinced I personally am that the benefits of releasing Mr. Peltier outweigh the possible negatives.
About a year or so ago I ran into an article that I found rather shocking regarding how American First Nations peoples were treated during the Lincoln era. https://www.facebook.com/notes/red-mans-view/how-lincolns-army-liberated-the-indians/515559085195891
This guy is a bald face liar---and a brutal savage. If he is that sick then they need to bring in a Souix medicine man to treat him. Peltier used his own naughty rifle, an AR-15 to off the FBI agents. I can't imagine any Liberal wanting to free a person using a bad gun that only the miltary police and Obama's bodyguards should be using. --Oh, I forgot, as long as it was a Non-White commiting a hate crime against White men---then that's okay.
The cops and feds who committed their atrocities in Pine Ridge should be the ones in prison or having their necks stretching from the end of a rope.
No doubt it's a screwed up case. The FBI was wrong in many ways and the politics of the time and the treatment of Native Americans makes it easy to see why they thought they were at war with the US. Still, even Peltier admits to being one of those who put 125 bullet holes in the agents vehicles. At that point, it doesn't matter if Peltier fired the killing shot or not. Under law, while a person may only be the getaway driver, if bank robbers kill someone in the course of a robbery, the driver is part of the felony murder. FWIW, it's up to a board to decide if Peltier should be released. If he is, I wouldn't have any heartburn over it.
"Brilliant" reply. Amazing how so many from the far right object to releasing an innocent man like Mr Peltier while they defend the actions of anti-government criminals like Cliven Bundy, Gordon Kahl, Eric Rudolph, Timothy McVeigh, and David Koresh.
Sorry, Dennis, but Lloyd Fournier failed the wise and ethical, not to mention, honest position with, "Thrity seven years is enough. Peltier is the world's longest serving political prisoner." Convicted of the first degree murder of two FBI agents should be mentioned somewhere by the "wise and ethical" and "honest".
Jesus was also convicted and condemned for his "crime" as well. There sure as heck was a lot of basis in the "evidence" used against him, wasn't there. Lol.
True......… that fact must be considered........ but are we somehow transitioning into a "New Age" of some sort....... could Mr. Leonard Peltier serve as something of a metaphorical "Barabbas"...… who was guilty...… but was released in spite of his guilt?????! https://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Mat&c=27&v=16&t=KJV#s=956016 Matthew 27:15 ¶ "Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would. And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?"..... ..... So my tendency to think that Elder Lloyd Fournier is perhaps onto something important is not based on the idea that Mr. Peltier is innocent...… but on the idea that his release could be a symbol that we the descendants of the European Caucasians are attempting to do something concrete...… as a symbol that we are doing serious soul searching regarding how we behaved over these past five centuries! Could the President of the State of Palestine be one of the great, great, great, great.... grandsons of Bar Abbas.....(son of Abbas).... who was released? Could the release of Leonard Peltier set in motion a series of events in the higher dimensions of space - time that have strangely positive results on this third rock at this time? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmoud_Abbas
The four innocent victims of the police created "Wilding" incident had previously been convicted as well. Of course, we learned later on that the government fabricated evidence just like Mark Fuhrmann did for all those years.
Mr_Truth..... could you please elaborate on your comment? You have really gotten my attention with your comment!
Google innocents project and read of how so many innocent people have been released from jail (including Death Row) after it was discovered police or prosecutors fabricated evidence used to convict them.
I am of the opinion that if the Presidential campaign Dannion Brinkley gains momentum..... America will go through some major positive changes. Somebody who has had three near death experiences gets to that place where they fear.......... to act or speak in an unethical manner...… so they would have a different view of Leonard Peltier's case...… they would grasp the larger picture! http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=413870&page=2&p=1065139939#post1065139939 Dannion Brinkley for V. P. in 2016 and President of the USA in 2024. ...... I certainly was impressed by how P. M. Stephen Harper publicly apologized to the First Nations peoples of Canada regarding some of the terrible things that we Europeans did in the past. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/prime-minister-stephen-harper-s-statement-of-apology-1.734250 Prime Minister Stephen Harper's statement of apology
There is history with the feds and AIM like the 73 incident at Wounded Knee, another Waco type incident but with only two killed. The Feds were also caught falsifying reports and were castigated by the courts.
I tried to take a quick look at the information to see if there was any injustice done. Unfortunately, there are so many facts that it is just too complicated to take a quick look into. That is the problem with trials. Often things are just too complicated for outside people to be able to quickly decide for themselves whether it was fair or not. The two other men who were with Peltier claimed self defense in an earlier trial. I started another thread about the problematic nature of self defense justification: self defense when there are no witnesses
"A few months after the murders, Peltier bragged about killing Agent Ron Williams, as recalled by a witness in a separate murder trial in 2004. Under oath, the witness recalled Peltier's exact words: "The motherfuer was begging for his life but I shot him anyway." For ten solid reasons why Peltier should NEVER be released, see the following: http://legendofpineridge.blogspot.com/2009/07/aim-myth-busters-ten-reasons-why.html
I have never defended a single one of any of those you name, nor do I know anyone who has. That is an absurd statement. As for Peltier, He is as guilty as sin. For 10 solid reasons why he should never be freed read this: http://legendofpineridge.blogspot.com/2009/07/aim-myth-busters-ten-reasons-why.html A few months after the murders, Peltier bragged about killing Agent Ron Williams, as recalled by a witness in a separate murder trial in 2004. This jerk is the posterboy for all that is wrong with the left, lapping up any lie told by any leftist criminal.
