Incorrect. The Religious Freedom Act signed by President Bill Clinton supercedes the Constitution and is illegal.

    Really.
You believe an 'act" can supercede an amendment? We'll have to let scotus decide..

..not sure how this applied to my post, anyway..

I was running a 30' mill made in Fon du Lac, WI, in a MS private machine shop and Reagan gave me a huge raise in my paycheck, and I didn't have to even make my case to get it.

We had just bought a new house, and Reagan helped us pay for it -- very, very lower blue collar middle class.

And we made a good profit on that house that we put down on another house -- very, very middle class.

awesome for you. Your personal anecdote doesn't make the data go away. Since Reagans trickle down revolution, wealth has been concentrated by orders of magnitude to the already richest 1% of americans. The middle class has shrunk to the brink of non existence, and government debt is almost unsustainable, thanks to the revenue slashing drunken spending republicans.

No, I believe it has. I do not believe it is legal, but yes, it can supersede and amendment as has been proven, when no one questions or knows about these little things that the president or congress does behind closed doors.

1600 people worked for the same company and they all got the same per cent raise in take home pay.

It was the same USA wide.

Cut taxes more, starve the government into submission to the people.

    anecdotes don't refute the data.
no it wasn't. The VAST majority of the nations wealth was concentrated to the richest 1%.

but we know from the data, that this doesn't work, nor has it ever worked. Cutting taxes for the richest 1%, only increases wealth for the richest 1%. The government doesn't spend less, because you guys slash revenues. As we see every time republicans are in power, you slash revenues and spend like drunken teenage girls with daddy's credit card.

How does this apply to the Sowell quote? Some absurd caricature to ridicule your ideological enemies?

Eliminate four out of five paid federal government positions, for starters.

how does more of your money going to the already wealthy, equate to beneficial for you?

already established this is fantasy. It has never worked, in the entire history of the US. When republicans slash revenues (cut taxes) they spend even more. It is the height of fiscal irresponsibility to keep putting republicans in office.

All I know is that the big increase in money in MY blue collar pocket was real, and the big reduction in money going to the government was real. The blessings of liberty were real. And sweet.

    Thank you Ronald Reagan.

I guess all those tens of millions of people who got bigger paychecks through Ronald Reagan then were low class and it was welfare.

I quit replying to this clown. He lacks the ability to accept reality. Another liberal lemming. The median household income stat tells which works best. During the Reagan years the median household income went up over 62% that is nearly 8% a year. During the Obama years the median household income increased just over 8%. About 1% a year. Obama also admitted that 95% of the wealth created during his administration went to the top 1%. You and I and everyone who lived it, knows everyone benefited from the Reagan economy.

Reaganvilles did not exist until he came into office.

He increased the federal debt, closed down the IRS's Office of International Operations which audited foreign corporations in order to collect taxes, and he increased foreign tax shelters which benefit the wealthy elites.

How about 80% of the entire federal work force, military included pro rata, 80% of those drawing a federal paycheck to the chopping block on June 30, 2019.

It is possible that we may be able to operate essential services with 20% of the current federal work force. With one fell swoop, we can be rid of the Pentagon but we will need continued operation of the power grid, the currency, the highways, the air waves, security at the borders/airports. We will need to be careful as to how to reduce the work force in non essential roles. But it can be done eventually ...

LOL since they have us now in a similar boat to third world nations where the top percent get almost all the wealth that is hardly a surprise.

If you get to write the tax laws you are the real winners.

Too bad you lack human compassion if you want to get of all these things. Veterans would be unhappy, old people will be unhappy, homeowners would be unhappy, college students would be unhappy....But at least you would be smiling knowing that the billionaires are paying so little in taxes compared to their earnings. They love you
