no country has ever accepted foreigners with open arms. none that i can think of, except 21st century white western countries, and only because they've been forced to by their own governments who are bowing to the UN.

First thing, the whole point of this thread was basically a weak deflection of pointing out how even though we're bad, other countries are bad too so its okay.

Second, countries like India, Singapore and the UAE are a few non-white ones that have open immigration and allow foreigners.

 

That's too bad, because a non-Hispanic or Hispanic White person is still White according to the Census.

You are correct! Also many of N America's indigenous people are European that migrated during the ice age. So to be fair North America is pretty much owned by everyone and finally whoever dominated it.

 

I don’t think it’s that simple. There are loads of immigrants all over the world and many move within their native region rather than going further afield, especially true of short-term immigrants and also refugees. It’s true that a lot of immigrants to travel to North America and Europe but that’s because they want to go to countries perceived as having more opportunities, the old “streets paved with gold!” issue.

I suspect you might also be conflating economic migrants with refugees, two very distinct situations albeit influenced by some of the same factors.

UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, all the more wealthy countries in the region really. They receive lots of immigration from surrounding countries and a not insignificant amount from further afield. I suspect there is lots of movement within Africa too, not all of it especially well monitored or measured.

“Foreigner” is a relative term in this context (you’re clearly not basing it on nationality ) and you’re largely under your own control regarding who you consider part of your group or not. I’ve no desire to submit to human nature that would lead me to think less of another human just because of where they were born, which passport they have or the colour of their skin. I’d prefer to treat people on their actions where-ever possible. Implementing our principles is more complicated whatever they are but we need to decide what they are first.

I don’t see how it’s forced. Nobody could literally force western nations to do anything if we really didn’t want to. The fact is that while there is plenty of concern about excessive migration and some of the consequences, the idea of entirely cutting it off in any way is very much a minority view within our nations. There’s much more pressure on this from within than without.

I love how people talk about how we are all equal under the law and yet they openly support policy and programs that benefit non whites while explicitly excluding people because they have white skin.

Of course they obfuscate this racism by couching it in the terms minority and majority.. which really means non-whites and whites respectively.

Hispanic refers to ethnicity, White refers to race. One can be both.

 

I mentioned Singapore and from what this says the relations between foreigners are just okay. Nothing mind-blowingly awesome but nothing horrendous either.
