But still unaffordable and a BIG gamble for most.

Not at all. That's why you get major medical insurance. It's cheap, has a high deductible and only covers major medical issues. Not the sniffles.

So you're saying that Congress is giving CBO bad numbers? Because there are specific reasons why the CBO numbers were not as accurate as could have been regarding the ACA

Guess what? You're attacking the CBO in defense of Congress.

    That's not working.

A lot of the plans now allowed if this garbage passes not ONLY has a high deductible...but also has yearly and lifetime caps.

It's garbage. They aren't even sure if it counts a actual insurance under the rules of their ow BILL

What they SAID was that people previously "forced" into buying healthcare insurance...would no longer be able to AFFORD it . That's your idea of choice and freedom?

For once I agree with you.

But unfortunately NOTHING the GOP is doing would address ANY of that.

It will however get tax cuts for the rich done...

That's a cute little rant, but has absolutely nothing to do with my comments that you quoted.

Big pharma is definitely a major cost factor, Tort no so much. Tort accounts for less than 3% of healthcare costs.

Single payer is the demonstrated superior system to for profit healthcare.

Thanks for the link and it shows all that is wrong with the American Healthcare system that will never maintain status quo... It is just a matter if one dies waiting for it to become a single payer system, how old you are, etc...
This is proof that our system can never maintain itself going forward. It has to be highly regulated and controlled by the Gov't. The greed they are raping away now, will cost them all later on. I would bet in any controlled country it is much less, and if there is a cure, it is being sat on due to the value of the transfusions.
Can't wait until they put them all on a Limited budget... Brain surgeons make the most at 250K a year... MAX. limit as per. govt rule.

This is among the dumber things I've seen on this site. That takes quite a bit of effort to accomplish.

If the Republicans write their healthcare bill behind closed doors with no bipartisan input allowed, allow no time for committee hearings, allow no time for CBO review, and allow limited time for review, debate and voting, there is not much chance for Democrats help with a rather important piece of legislation. I think that something this important should be done slowly and carefully so that there is the best chance to get it right. We, the people, deserve the best possible government.

when you state democrats are doing nothing to fix the ACA, I am correctly pointing out republicans control the legislature and the executive. They don't need democrats help. Republicans are simply too incompetent to actually get anything done.

And the American people preferred a democrat, over the current occupant of the white house, by 3 million votes.
