I ate so much fish tacos (and also mariscoes) that the rest is in the freezer now.

I'll have them again next time I get really hungry for authentic home made Mexican food !!

 

Is it the best chicken fried steak in Texas? I think every restaurant in Texas has the best chicken fried steak or that is what they say.

I will have to try that one. I have been on the search for a good Brazilian Santos. Years ago we found one that was excellent haven't been able to find another one that even comes close to it.

 

Hang a sign on it that says, "Rental Fee $50.00, gas is extra."

Yesterday the little heeler found an opossum in the azalea plants he bit her, and she was furious. We closed the fence, and she couldn't aggravate the opossum till he finished his nap and left. I have pictures of him, but for some reason, I haven't been able to post pictures.
This morning she is barking at a deer that is eating in the field about 100 yards away. She is a funny little dog and will bring a smile in a minute.

 

The Baja Fresh entrepreneur started a chain of small cheap fast food Mexican restaurants that served real Mexican fish tacos in CA.

 

He does always return it with a full tank of gas even if it was empty when he took it, so that is something I guess. That saves me like a dollar fifty or something. I shouldn't complain though. I bring in close to five times as much after taxes a month as he gets in social security a month. I have never really figured out why he did it exactly, but he did a cash out refi before he retired to pay off bills and now he has a mortgage payment higher than mine at a higher interest rate and for longer than mine to boot. Some days it just annoys me what he is doing, but that may also be because some days I am annoyed by having too many people in my sphere with boundary issues.

 

Hang in there you may get a blessing for being a kind neighbor.

Oh I don't care one way or the other most days. Was just blowing off steam because he came trotting over to borrow it just before I made that post and he didn't even need it that day. He just wanted to have it for later in the week. Sometimes it feels like my mower spends more time at his house than mine. The thing that really annoys me is he cleans it by hand and armor alls the hell out of before returning it to me knowing full well I am going to turn around and use the stupid thing as soon as I get it back. I told him he was wasting his time because I never wash my mower. I have yet to figure why he does this. I have told him to stop doing it, but he does it anyway.

 

I knew (in the biblical sense) and dated (in the California sense) a Mexican babe who owned her own Mexican restaurant and she had the best fish tacos in the world.

Those Jack And Jill readers in early elementary school were great.

Besides Spot we also had Tip And Mitten -- a dog and a cat.

My dad grew up in Western Illinois and he had a dog. It was a German shorthaired retriever. Odd thing because my dad never liked hunting at all.

My mom was afraid of dogs and cats. In Nazi Germany where she grew up the people would chase cats and dogs and try to catch and eat them. They were starving and there was no food. I read the same thing happened in WW1 and WW2 Russia too plus there they ate corpses.

My first pet was a rabbit that I caught myself. Raised it from a little thing to a full grown jack rabbit. Named it "Peter Rabbit" but it turned out to be female instead. Let it go one day.

Second pet was a robin that fell out of its next. Raised and fledged it for 2 months until it grew up and flew away. Sometimes it would come back and land on my shoulder or head.

Third and fourth pets were two African pigmy green parrots (lovebirds). They managed to open their own cages and fly away. They waited on the back patio for me to come home from work though before they flew off. Never saw them again. There were a lot of hawks in that neighborhood on the north end of town.

My cat is now 3 1/2 years old. He was born in the back patio closet one night with his 2 sisters. Found homes for the other two and kept just him. He is a good kitty and always uses his litter box.

food like Fish Sticks.Being none the wiser.

I saw a hawk swoop down and grab a cardinal from my bird feeder. Had no idea hawks eat other birds, but found out they consider brightly colored songbirds a special treat. Gross.

So I will first get to drink booze tonight when I get home late. It will be like a Friday evening for me.
