    Not so much.
The person singing seems to have caught a piece of their anatomy in a drawer.
    Just sayin'.....

It was an album I got somehow and played in the late 70's.
I think I may still have it somewhere. But cleaning won't help any.
It was Entwistle's solo album. No Daltry or Townshend or wild man
Keith Moon { got a kick out of using things like M-80's or cheery bombs
and tossing them into Hotel toilets. }.
I see where the Album was - Whistle Rymes - and Peter Frampton
had a guitar solo on one song.
Peter Frampton was one of those totally forgotten artists. He was all
the rage in the mid-70's.Handsome with long hair.
Not much there ... there in the way of Music.[/QUOTE]

Mommy, Daddy was it love at first sight for you two?

Nah, I met Mommy in a bar. We talked. She was so sweet. She made me feel like I was just enough. Your Mom got so drunk she puked her guts out. I held her hair back. Ill never forget the look on her face, the smile, the puke on the side of her face when she asked me to stay the night. I decided to go home. The rest is history, Honey.

Puppy love is a happier if not a better theme for current pop music.

Yes, but it deserved an Emmy nomination for costume design.

The dog dies, the girl grows up, has a daughter and gives here puppy. "Happier" - get it?

IOW, the song and the video sucks - Old Yeller with a sappy ending.
But it is a pop hit!

When you are selling a product and let your target market know you are the political opposition you are really stupid.
Several blonde jokes occurred to me while watching that video - good song though.

LOL! They are good so long as you do not think about who and what they are.
I have actually had some practice doing that with blondes. :)

    Exactly.
That Dixie Chicks song was my favorite and still is. The controversy never changed my opinion of their music. I liked it then and still do.

I treat a lot of the Hollywood nutcases that way. If they can act, and put on a good show, I really don't care what they support.

It's a tough call at times. Jim Morrison was a bad person, but I enjoy listening to his music so he gets a pass. Michael Jackson doesn't get a pass.

Emmy Schmemmy. No group dressed more ridiculous and got
standing Ovations than - KISS -. Nutters from N.Y.city ... where else.
A truly awful group.I never knew to laugh at them or just
walk away.Plus Gene Simmons has an Ego bigger than
    Dumbo.To this day !.

Why all this attitude towards Rock Stars.Because in a nutshell
many a Musician is an *******,plain & simple.Bob Dylan is an
******.But his genius and Music are beyond reproach. He's obviously
not driven by riches. There is poetic justice and virtue within his lyrics.
More than makes up for his persnickety attitudes.
    Much,much more.

Which brings Us { me mores like it } to Country Music.
    All I gotta say is watch - Five Easy Pieces - { 1970 } a notable
performance by an early Jack { as in Nicholson }.
His sweetie pie is a Country music listening addict.
Very little has changed since with regards to country music's
    overall feel and lyrics.
It's become an American pastime and phenomena.
Let me be clear.I don't prefer Rock music on account of lyrics.
Mostly the beat and guitars and blending of sounds with simple
lyrics { sometimes indistinguishable }. Of course Bob Dylan is the
exception.I originally liked Bruce Springsteen because his music
and lyrics were very compatable and sound.
In this Frank Zappa was a total disaster.A near complete
waste of time. And he was a Catholic.Few people knew this.
Keep in mind it is just as easy to be a Music snob as if a
    Food snob.

George Strait beats them all, if for no other reason he is a gentleman.
