Snopes insists that there is no such thing.

"Even if the state of medical technology back in the 1970s allowed for human-bovine melding, anyone who has checked out a cow’s tongue at a deli or grocery store meat counter knows how huge one of those things is. If Gene Simmons had had even a small part of a cow’s tongue grafted onto his own, he must have had his mouth enlarged to make room for it at the same time. (Either that or he just started folding it up to keep it in his mouth.)"

"I was oblivious, for the first thirteen years of my life, that I was endowed with a large oral appendage, my superlong tongue. It really was longer than everyone else’s, and I was soon to find out that having a long tongue came in handy with the girls."

But can we really believe Snopes - or Simons? ;-)

And here I always thought 'three foot tongue and breathe thru my ears' was just another pick up line.

It is probably better not to think about what Simmons may have picked up with that tongue over the years.

I mean,I can get out from the barbers chair and say I like it.
Meaning me haircut. Now what I don't like is when
Politicians try to act like normal American.Like when
Elizabeth Warren was video'd saying :
    " I'm going to get ME a beer ".
Won't catch me talkin' like dat.

0402191049_Burst01.jpg Down to the last few good timbers. That is a 4x4 on the bottom and 2x8 joist on top of that. Also have a 4x8 sill on the back. They would make a good Pergola. Would need some kind of preservative ....copper based?... Got a new chop saw with laser guide. ...will think of something.

The mess will burn. All is done except a few timbers and cleanup. Also need to pick up old block and brick. Got enough wood for just about any project. Got plans to build a solid front door. The plans call for Douglas fir. ..549.00 in material cost...I could do it in heart pine for next to nothing...this was the goal...but haven't made up my mind. Will do the guest bedroom floor with t&g heart pine ...natural with linseed oil finish.

What you paid for in labor, you more than made up for in material.
    Very cool.

    Bows head for a moment...

Over the last two years or so, the WalMart that we visit for life's basics has declined in selection, is close to the same prices as 'regular' grocery stores, has more self-check outs and less humans to interact with, and in general, is more likely to be avoided then a planned destination.

I've noticed that we have been losing brock and mortar stores to internet shopping, and I'm one of those people who needs to try on things like shoes and pants, since I have no absolute sizes. But, it is the way of the world at this point, so I very well may say good-bye to that Wally World entirely, and save the gas spent going there.

This Wallyworld is no doubt closing due to the theft & corruption among employees. Heard cashiers often play 'buy one, get one free' when ringing up friends & family. Crazy they have to close down a store to fix theft probs, but its just not worth the effort from a corp viewpoint. Nobody is allowed to discuss growing crime rates because thats considered racist if the establishment is located in minority heavy communities, but the proof is in the closings. Makes me sad. :(

OK, I'll play straight man (person?). What made this particular Walmart your "fav?" I don't shop there very often (probably a holdover from growing up in a union family) but they're all pretty much the same as far as I can tell.

Closest to my house and near an Aldi's and Home Depot, so I could shop at all 3 without driving all over town. Its been there for over 20 yrs, so its sad to see it go. :(

I went into an old fashion mom and pop hardware store the other day. I wanted a clothesline. Not sash cord. A real clothesline off a big spool. The dryer broke and Im in no hurry to run out to replace it. Course we will be the only one with a clothesline in a 10mile radius but the city chick who grew up old school moved into the neighborhood. I grew up using a clothesline. Not a dryer.

Anyway, I walked into the place and it was like being in a time warp. They had everything imaginable and things I haven't seen in a long time. My moms favorite rag mop heads that slid into those old fashion red metal pole handles that you tightened with a wingnut. They cut the length of clothesline I needed. Put it in a little brown bag and the owner walked me to the door and opened the door for me when I left. I thought, no more Home Depot if these people have what I need Im going there from now on.
