Metal roofs have been around for a long time. Just tore down a house circa 1890s with a metal roof. My partner sold all the roofing. In fact, some metal roofs have been around 1500 years and are still in use.

I see the Roaming Gnome dropped in for a visit.

Am I seeing some plants growing down in there?

Birds eat the little berries off Poison Ivy plants/leaves and then the
bird droppings { crap } is what gets on fence hedgerows to develop new
Poison Ivy.I know this because I had a wee bit of a problem with poison
Ivy in my backyard about 8 years ago.Very hard to get rid of Poison Ivy
when it's creeping vines.Do Not Burn Poison Ivy like leaves,.
Because burning will develop lethal fumes. So how to you get rid
of Poison Ivy.With Garden gloves break it up and then bury.
It's almost as hazardous as old TV sets { CRT's }.
If you get Poison Ivy on yer hands/arms/legs .... rinse it off within an
hour { no longer } with cold water.NOT Hot water.Hot water will
open yer skin pores and you will suffer the effects.

Just a brief fly by. Back in hospital... this time with Cellulitis in right leg. Still related to auto immune disease and back to appendicitis. Feeling better, but still being treated. Will be back (like a bad penny). Y'all behave while I'm gone.

Metal roofs were more secure than shingle roofs when Michael came through.

I hardly know where to begin with this post. With all due respect, you are incorrect.

There are barns collapsing around here, where the metal roof is still intact, and the wood is not. 100 year farms, with original barns still standing, with metal roofs... my personal shack, built in 1994, with a metal roof. I will find pictures for you, if you doubt.

20191025_130131.jpg 20191025_130128.jpg Yes. I have a couple of water Lillys... A couple Arrowhead plants and some Pickeral rush. This here pond has all that and flag iris both yellow and purple plus a few fish. I have another pool with just flag iris and water Lilly. Some plants will be transferred to the cement pond to be used as a filter. It should look good when it gets cleaned up and established..... Would also like some crawdads for the lower cement pond.

RoundUp kills the stuff. Jewelweed eliminates most of the symptoms.

Sorry to hear and hoping for you the best.
    Now an important question.
Why would yer post generate any Likes.?
That is really creepy. It's like posting about the death
of someone and getting likes.Makes no sense.
Therefore one reason I don't cotton likes.
Likes are for Weddings.Hardly Funerals.Unless someone likes to
to say or give a eulogy that shows how much they liked the faithfully departed.

    N'cest pas !

I see "likes" as a celebration of life and lively thinkers.
    Death is not likable.

I give likes for different reasons.

Sometimes I agree with everything in a post, and that gets a like.
Sometimes I disagree with the poster, but they made an admirable and polite effort, and that gets a like.
Sometimes, especially when I'm busy and can't respond, the like just lets the poster know I read their response to me.
In this case where SMW has told us she's sick, it's just to let her know her post was read, and the like is like smiling at her.

I Harken back to the way I was brought up and taught in
Parochial School.I don't believe I ever heard the word " Like or
Likes or Liked " used onced.Because it made absolutely no point.
You Learn what is taught and do what the Nuns say.PERIOD.
No debating.Talking while a Nun is teaching will getcha a good
smack in the kisser or back of the head.I Gar-Own-Tee those
    * type students go on to lead moral and productive lives. There was no
Likes or liking about it.Just like one doesn't go into surgery muttering
"I don't know If I like that surgeon! ".Maybe the Dentist if on laughing gas.

    * Not in all cases such as an Annie Sprinkle or Lady Gaga.

Sorry to hear that you are in the hospital. Auto-immune diseases are frustrating and stressful to deal with.

    Hoping for a speedy recovery.
