Weren't you the one claiming that the 4,000 infections from just two weeks ago in Texas was an anomaly? That there was no spike?

Apparently you were as wrong then as you are now...but ya gotta say something...right?

Here's the deal on masks. I have COPD and the masks make it very difficult for me to breath. I have changed the way I do things though. I shop for groceries two or three times a month rather than almost daily as I used to. I also wait till the grocery store parking lot is almost empty before I go there. I also use normal hygiene, not touching my face, covering my cough or sneeze if I absolutely must cough or sneeze. I keep my mouth shut and distance myself from others as much as possible. I avoid people like the plague because there is a plague occurring. I do everything possible to avoid this crap except wear a mask. If it bothers you that I don't wear a mask, then stay away from me. I can do nothing more.

Trust me. I am in several high risk categories, COPD, Diabetes, Elderly, and I don't want Covid any more than you do. It would almost certainly be a death sentence for me. I just can't breath with a mask. So if you can find it in your heart. Please don't judge me.

Right. Perfect timing with the early- and mid-June spike in cases:

I've never heard face coverings described as breeding grounds for bacteria. Where did you hear that? It's silly considering people cover in cold weather, while skiing, riding motorcycles, welding, etc., etc. Is a welding mask a breeding ground for bacteria? Should we discontinue its use? How about scarves? Is bacteria more dangerous than frostbite?

Are you wearing ****ing goggles? Then you are putting others at risk according to your logic. Abbott's Order doesn't apply to those 10 years old and under. So the little snot nosed kids can spread the **** at will but masks on the olds will fix everything? It's a total joke. No masks required at church either. Cloth masks don't do ****...neither do these cheap masks so many people only have usually covering their mouthes with large gaps around their noses.

FYI there was no spike in covid cases for over a month after Texas re-opened bars and restaurants. Two things have happened since then, it got hotter than hell and more people are staying inside and thug protests. So which one is the culprit?

    And you are the exception.

Don't support people that make your life more dangerous...and sadly...stay home as much as possible. The more careless THEY all are...the longer you'll have to do that

Ohh and by the way...I'll know you have COPD by the breathing apparatus you wear...so...

You forgot to mention that LA residents have had a mandatory mask requirement for over 6 weeks.

What does that tell you about combining bars + protests, and the primary people getting sick today are 20-35 years old?

    Yea...they do.

They keep your spewage from shooting out yards.

Try something. Stand in silhouette in a window sideways with the sun shining brightly. Talk normally and have someone look at the droplets coming out of your face. You'll be shocked. Now do it with a mask on.

    You'll see a dramatic difference

    A. Bars spread the virus

    B. Mass gatherings of any kind spread the virus

    C. Sick 25-30 year olds spread the virus...in fact they spread it like crazy because they don't take this thing seriously

And the response to all this?

    Keep bars closed

    Avoid mass gatherings

    Wear masks

    It's just that simple.

    How can you possibly disagree?

Florida's surge of COVID-19 cases shows no signs of slowing down. The state Department of Heath reported Florida set another daily record Thursday, with 10,109 cases, surpassing Saturday's record of 9,585 cases.

The milestone continues a marked upturn in cases that began last month, weeks after Florida started allowing businesses to reopen.

In Texas, another coronavirus hot spot, wearing face masks is now required in most of the state.

Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive orderon Thursday requiring Texans to wear face coverings in public in counties with 20 or more COVID-19 cases. The announcement comes as COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to surge, with the state reporting 7,915 new cases on Thursday.

Kansas is also now requiring face coverings after a 46% spike in infections there last week. Gov. Laura Kelly's order, with some exceptions, requires people to wear masks indoors or outdoors where 6 feet of social distancing cannot be maintained.

Arizona is contending with one of the worst outbreaks of any state as coronavirus cases surge. Hospitals are bracing for a wave of seriously ill patients, and health officials are pleading with the public to wear masks and heed guidance about social distancing — even in the absence of a second stay-at-home order.

Arizona was quick to relax restrictions on businesses and reopen its economy, beginning in early May. Most new cases have come in just the past month.

Way to go dips*** states. A little late to the party in regards to mask wearing. Funny how all of a sudden these states’ officials believe wearing a mask is a good idea. Go figure.

Keeping your ****ing mouth shut is more effective than wearing a mask and running your mouth. If Abbott wanted to do something that actually would make a difference, he could ban dumbass door greeters standing in the friggin entrances.

Right, because it’s the door greeters who are responsible for spreading the virus. Holy f’ing christ

I went to 3 Friday happy hours while the bars were open. My regular place is an "old people bar", not a trendy "woke" young activist hangout. People were social distanced and the staff was strict on maintaining state guidelines. All bars closed because the young woke bars were not following the rules. Kids were packing into the trendy bars before and after they carpooled to and from the protests.

Bars being open wasn't the main problem.

Not using a mask is like playing Russian Roulette which is fine except you are putting other people's lives in danger through your ignorance..

If it were legal to do so, they should temporarily raise the drinking age to 40 and reopen the bars. LOL

I am sure I have been consistent in the fact I wear a mask where it is required or I will be in close contact with strangers.
The other dozen cloth masks I have been given have been cut up and are being used as bore patches.

All the above plus the time needed to force mail in ballots is fast approaching. Watch for an all out media push for that next week.

I don't support anyone, I avoid everyone, and I do stay home as much as possible.

I only wear the breathing apparatus at home.
