Ok. He had a border policy that made sense if we are to have a border. He had a sensible energy polity that acknowledged that fossil fuels are still our power source. He pushed NATO members to pony up and meet their financial obligations. He insisted on fair trade policies and used tariffs to enforce that stance.

If you want an F350 (great cars, by the way), or overseas travel, or lots of restaurant meals, or whatever .. just ****ing have them and stop claiming to care about the planet. Not sure what mitigate means. I've never said we should do nothing. But, I do appreciate you admitting that I was right in that no matter what we do, all we can do is "mitigate", which means Climate Change will continue getting worse, even if we do everything the left wants us to do. They continually lie to us by telling us that if we do what they want, Climate Change will be reversed.

The planet needs a lot more than you reducing your personal consumption in some areas. You might be called upon to pay higher taxes, for example.

What we're getting these days from environmental "advocates" (media appointed) is a lot of money-backed advocacy by business types with something to sell. My sister-in-law and hubby put a $50,000 solar panel system on their house in Medford, OR for $12,000. Thee and me paid for the rest. Maybe we would have been better off putting $38,000 into research.

Climate liberals (which may include rich conservatives) are trying to get from here to there on climate without themselves having to do without. Take the carbon taxes I oppose—you could raise gasoline to $20/gallon and I could pay without having to think about it. Those carbon taxes can even be revenue neutral, but the guy who cuts back on gasoline use is the guy who has less money. Raise the price of private jets by 500% if you want rich people to do their share.

 

I can't see how anyone could have watched the Democrat obstruction of Trump and listened to what Democrat were intending and see Biden as a better option.
