The 100 trillion cost for the green new deal? Yeah, that's the value of all land and buildings in the U.S.

They got richer because they started taking most of the economic growth.

I believe that capitalism creates wealth. That wealth leads to decadence. That decadence leads to laziness and eventually poverty. The wealthy will naturally hoard as much wealth as they can and replace their workers with machines and cheap foreign labor and will raise prices as high as they can. You can claim that people should just be responsible, but humans are flawed creatures and will become decadent and lazy under capitalism.

How are they able to produce more growth than others?

What are you advocating exactly and where exactly does that system work so well?

Socialism is about the equality of a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage and solving for simple poverty; go ahead and automate, right wingers.

    Yes, the contradiction.

"we're all getting poorer!" "and some of us are getting richer!"

If you're not advocating communism, then you're advocating capitalism.

Who gave it to them? Did they come into your house at night and steal it from the closet under your stairs?

I have no argument at all with the idea that great wealth (and safety) produces apathy. Especially when the great surpluses of great wealth are used to convince people they don't need to be productive. EG, UBI's, and other social luxuries purchased with that great wealth.
