American slave labor was not disposable labor.
You could not just herd them up like they did with the Jews.
You had to buy them, and they were not cheap.
3% of American whites owned slaves.
In New Orleans, 28% of free blacks owned slaves.

If you had ever actually studied history instead of pulling crap off websites you would know that wealthy land owners had no regard for human life. They employed brutal sadists to push their slaves sun up to sun down. If a slaves collapsed from exhaustion it didn't mean that they need shorter work hours and more breaks it meant the slave was lazy and needed to be made an example of before it spread to the other slaves.

Fantasizing that people who opposed freedom by taking it away from other people were kindly and thoughtful doesn't make you appear intelligent like you may think it makes you look very naive. Slavery in itself cruel and self serving and people who believe that slavery was rainbows and unicorns should experience the existence of a slave.

Repeating slaves cost money is completely meaningless and doesn't support your argument at all, human labor has always cost money and people were treated horribly for the last 10,000 years weather you bought them or paid for an army to go capture them.

Look up the letters and journals of slave owners and their families that's where most of our knowledge how slaves were treated comes from. Some claimed that slaves were treated well but then there wives and children would counter that claim most of the time.

They would the attach the conquered together using fishhooks on chains and prod them forward this way no one could straggle or run and if someone fell they would have to quickly pick them up so they could get them to the market at a fast pace.
