Yep, but Walter was never "allowed" to start until Welker had his breakout year.......Largent and Collingsworth were basically the only two European American starting WRs for years, but we are talking ancient history here.......and McCaffery was a wonderful talent who had to first serve his "racial apprenticeship" for 3-5 years waiting until the requisite number of "real athletes" got hurt (see Peyton Hillis) before starting..... thus using up the best years of a young receivers career.....same thing they are doing with Toby Gerhart......notice how Ingram got to start immediately and he is no where near as good a RB as Gerhart.

BS. Walter starting games in 2005 for the Bengals while Welker was just a kick returner and third WR with the Dolphins.

Isn't it funny how the Vikings "traded up" to get Gerhart to be their third down back since Peterson can't pass block and can't catch out of the backfield.........but then, Peterson immediately announced that he was a three down back...........even though he had been spotted on third downs by some washed up black RB the year before. And sure enough, the same folks that "traded up" backed down and told Toby to "sit on the bench white boy" because our "real afflete" don't want to be bothered and we can't "upset the locker room". Peyton Hillis has been disrespected and has been hurt a great deal......but white athletes can't be injured.......his running mate at Arkansas, Darren McFadden has had injuries the last two years as well.......so should we fire him as well?

No they probably told him to sit on the bench because the guy in front of him has rushed for almost 9000 yards and 76 TD's in the last seven years. Nobody in their right mind takes Peterson out of the game consistently on third down. There is a reason why Childress was fired. I'm pretty sure Frasier wants to keep his job. Hillis played in 13 games last year and couldn't beat out a guy coming off a knee injury. Charles had 1500 rushing last year. Hillis 309

So riddle me this.....does Tayvon Austin who was the 8th overall pick in the NFL draft tonight.......at 5'8 and 173 pounds "look like an NFL player" and should we expect him to "stay healthy"?........LMAO at your theory......the reality is that "Tayvon" has more melanin content than "Wes". They had very similar stats in college.....yet one was the 8th overall pick......and the other didn't get invited to the combine or get drafted.......racism and discrimination against white athletes is the only answer to the riddle.

1900 total yards senior year vs 1200 total yards senior year ...No brainer . Add another 900 yards for Austin on kick returns as well .

But....but.... we're talking about what an NFL receiver is supposed to "look like".......needs to be named Don'Tavarius and have dreads to be a first rounder.........and Welker was playing on a college team that spread the ball around to a lot of different receivers.

The whole point of the article and thread was racial discrimination in sports..........how did I "make it more a race issue".......when race/discrimination was the point of the story/thread........LOL........geez

It was a current event when Jeremy said what he did in the article.

But then you went on a diatribe about black this and black that, even when numerous members were trying to explain to you that stats and performance pay a big part in if you get recruited or not.

So, yea, you detailed your own thread.

It remained a current event when the NFL draft came along, and the very discrimination against white and asian athletes once again is fairly evident. When one poster says that Welker, the best WR in the NFL over the past six years, wasn't even drafted because he was "too small".....and Tavon Austin at 5'8/175 pounds goes #9 overall in the NFL draft.......that certainly backs up Lin's point about racial stereotyping in sports doesn't it?

Lin dropped 3 points as his Houston rockets got eliminated . Not even in the top 15 of point guards .

Obviously he could give two (*)(*)(*)(*)s about Lin, it was just a chance or him to go on a rant about black people....check his posting history...

then he acts surprised when his threads are moved to race relations....
