Think: According to the Federal Register, 58 national emergencies have been declared since the National Emergency Act of 1976 was signed into law by President Gerald Ford. Note: ex-prez "Messiah" Obama himself declared national emergencies TEN TIMES during his "pen-and-phone" dictatorial reign....

I only wish that Trump had SEALED THE BORDER WITH MEXICO SHUT! If he had done that at the same time as declaring the national emergency, the Mexican business people would already be raising holy hell with their rotten, corrupt government bureaucrats to send out the paramilitary police and clean all the sh*t up that they've allowed on THEIR side of the border! After that (and it would not take long), Trump could reopen the border, and life would go on. Best of all? It wouldn't cost the United States taxpayer a PENNY!

 

You're obviously not very familiar with national emergencies act. See the definition of national emergency. Hint: the layman definition doesnt apply, its a term of art defined by statute.

First point. Yes, large amounts of drugs are smuggled in across the border, AT CHECK POINTS. That last bit conveniently left out of your narrative.
Second point. Do you know how much of Trump' s monument will be built on those reservations? Zero unless they invite the builders in for the same reason they get to have casinos.
So again, the monument still does nothing to secure the border but does wonders for Trump's ego.

It took your beloved BLOTUS 3 attempts to get his "Muslim Ban" constitutional after the court threw it out over and over again. The final version is eventually going to be overturned in the future just like Citizens United. The Roberts court has an abysmal track record of BAD decisions.

 

They never threw it out they put an injunction. It ultimately was ruled constitutional.

 

The first TWO were ruled as unconstitutional and the third one is going to be overturned in the future because the Roberts court has become a farce on injustice and lousy rulings.

 

No, they were not...an injunction was put in place. They were changed and the third was ruled constitutional by the SCOTUS in June of 2018

Increased border security is commendable. Since the wall is only a monument to Trump and provides zip in terms of security it should not be part of the equation. In this case it's worse because he wants to divert funds that do provide security, particularly of our soldiers in harm's way.
