Any discussion about it , or sexuality in general, has been banned in places like Florida, so kids will have to learn about it from the media / social-media.

I get your point, so no worries, and I agree that the LGBT community is overplaying their hand, and now every movie has to have some gayness in it, and its annoying. However in a free society we just have to suck up some things we don't like.

 

Maybe because every major Christian group considers it a sin and actively condemns it.

 

Look ... Just like I told another poster on this thread, I'm not questioning the legal right of anyone to freedom of speech. I just happen to think the one's sex life is private and personal, and, out of respect to everyone, it should stay that way. And as much as anyone has a right to wear clothing that declares their sex life, other's have just as much right to find it trashy and offensive. I know I would not become friends with someone who wore clothing like that. Same would go for some trashy clothing declaring heterosexuality, although I've never seen anything like that.

 

They do consider it a sin, but Christ taught to not judge. However, some Christian groups are as judgmental as you could possibly be, and its a great shame because that is not the Gospel message Christ wanted Christians to preach.

Remedy for freedom of expression? No, I have not offered any remedy, I am just saying that in a free country you just have to suck it up when you don't like certain people expressing themselves. Or you can counter with an expression of your own if you feel triggered enough to do so. Its up to you.

 

I don't know all the details of Florida's laws. When I was in high school in the early 70s (sophmore year I think) I took a human reproduction class (we kids just called it Sex Ed). What it really was was a Science class, the science of human reproduction. It was purely the science of it all. There was nothing about morality, religion, legal rights, and nothing about homosexuality. Looking back on it, I realize that the material was age appropriate and presented in a dispassionate, professional manner. I don't know what corresponding education they're giving in schools these days, but I would have no problem with education such as I had. Are you saying a class like I had in high school would be illegal in Florida?

Pride clothing is no more a display of sexuality than those little people icons people put on the back of their vehicles.

You don’t see declarations of heterosexuality because it is everywhere. People holding hands, ads, displays in movies, music, clothing referencing a spouse or children.

All of those are displays of heterosexuality.

 

Which we should strive for as the goal.

It’s a direct indication of a weak position when someone has to behave like a politician to doge such simple questions.

 

Yes I believe gay representation further perpetuates growing a gay population which further declines that population's ability to procreate. Thus destroying that society's ability to perpetuate and continue on. A healthy society is one that can procreate, continue on and has a very low gay representation.

I think humans are doing a pretty good job at increasing the population, and that includes the US.

 

I didn't say it shouldn't be allowed, just that it won't sell. If it was moving then Target wouldn't relocate it.

 

This is the 8th+ year of pride sales, they have stated it was moved because their employees were getting threatened and people were protesting at the displays.

So if it has sold fine enough to be renewed for over 8 years that doesn’t seem to be the issue. North Face just released their pride collection and are seeing good sales there, as are most companies that do not typically appeal to right wing demographics.

 

I haven't seen any indication Target employees here have been threatened. I think you're pulling my leg.
