So why do Democrats want to raise taxes on the middle class and poor in 60 days instead of a year?

it was good enough for a majority of senate republicans.....75-80% I think.

but not good enough for the teaparty extremists in the house

actually from reading what you posted....

it sounds like any extension will encounter the SAME progrm.

is a one year extension somehow more lead time? does next yeat start later under that senario?

Yes because it works with the current one and is done over a year instead of 2 months. Gives more stability to companies

where are you reading that? all I see are claims that they cant make the changes by january, not that they CAN if its for the entire year.

im not saying youre wrong, im saying that article doesnt state that.

But it can be done over a year not 2 months. they have time to catch up.

Explain how Obama argues the debt ceiling had to be a year yet here he wants 2 months. shows Obama is a hypocrite playing class warfare and politics

so we would still have the 2 months of confusion....except this way we actually get a tax cut opposed to republican promises?

he wanted a year, the GOP house failed to get it done.

Obama is spinning so much in his campaigning, he really has the sheeple confused. Last year he signed the tax cuts while being held hostage (in his words), then complained about it. Then campaigning this year has complained about those pesky short term bills, then campaigned for his million tax hike, now wants tax cuts again! I do realize this could be very confusing to those sheeple who are awaiting his directive on their marching orders. However since the TEA party members were elected to actually change the policies instead of becoming them we aren't that confused, that is what they were elected for.

It isn't the TEA party's fault because the Senate Dems can't pass a budget for 2 years, that falls on Reid/Obamas problem. For those watch the media for their current news tend to follow just what they hear.

The Senate bill is a stinker, and dumb. Make one change, 12 months instead of 2.

And after that you have no idea. Make it 12 and be done with it, the only reason not to is partisan politics.

if they had ANY interest in passing a clean 12 month extension they shouldnt have waited until late december
