Have you ever seen him throw a football? I've seen high school seniors with more accuracy, more power, and a better rotation on their throws. It may very well be divine that that guy has been that successful.
Actually, it was a VERY conservative community. As in, my father was about the only liberal in the Lion's club or city council. He's been on the news a lot in the last 15 years for being harassed by conservatives in town. He's had election signs stolen (got on the news when he tape recorded from inside and caught the kids), he quit the Lions in protest one year until they stopped bringing in local Republican figures exclusively, and they begged him to come back and promised never to do so again (and they haven't). In fact, over the last 10 years (I coached about 12-13 years ago), the town has shifted towards being a lot less conservative. My dad has had a big part in that (along with a lot of expose hypocrisy and controversy with the conservatives in town. As for the football teams. I meant balanced by saying that each team had to have the same number of girls as the other teams. Of course, don't discount girls from my hometown as being weak. A girl down my street won 2 junior high state wrestling titles against boys, and finished as high as 4th in AA state wrestling (when Illinois was a two class state) in high school. She only lost 5-6 matches a year in high school. Of course, she wrestled in the lowest weight class every year.
I sure saw some perfectly thrown bombs yesterday. But those must have been luck. And I've seen other QBs throw some pretty bad balls occasionally. Bad luck I guess.
Ya, I know, Tebow can't do this, Tebow can't do that...blah, blah, blah. To paraphrase the Raiders, he "just wins, baby".
Yeah, I have a comment, your obsession with Tebow is disconcerting. He had a very good game, has even had a good year, yet some people still have doubts, it is no big thing..
Here's the deal: Tebow is a rookie QB who was 3rd string not too long ago and has not played a full season yet. People are over analyzing him. He's not yet what he's going to be. He's shown improvement and he's only had very limited nfl experience. Denver has a really good defense, but theres something inspiring about the way Tebow plays and not just to fans but to his teammates. Bottom line is he is good. QBs get better or they don't. It looks like he's getting better. Sky's the limit he's just getting started.
under 50% accuracy and his passes look like ducks half the time. Oh well im glad the broncos took out the steelers. 1. i dislike pittsburg 2. the broncos are stuck with tebow 3. its a decent storyline...
But let's face it, a lot of those incompletions are in order to prevent a sack and get back to the LOS. Hard to fault him for that. I mean let's face it, Tebow doesn't have the top receivers in the league at his disposal. Truth is, there's a lot of Tim Tobows on Denver. And their defense is decent, not great. Here's one of those incompletions BTW, where he saves a safety. http://sportshl.com/football/Tebow_saves_the_safety/1116813 Completion % is important, but not everything. And you say half of his passes are ducks? Nah, you just letting emotion get the best of you.
As opposed to the several good throws he had earlier in the game? And even though Brady will be scoring points left and right, the Pats have no defense to compensate for that.
a little overestimation from an annoyed Raider fan... Still at least Pittsburgh lost. I will give tebow some credit as an emotional leader, the guy has heart. I just don't see enough there for a super bowl run. Then again i can see them possibly beating the Pats with a few turnovers.
BTeamBomber posted: Have you ever seen him throw a football? I've seen high school seniors with more accuracy, more power, and a better rotation on their throws. It may very well be divine that that guy has been that successful. Taxcutter says: Tebows ball looks a lot like what that notorious rag-arm Joe Montana threw. He has improved a lot just this year. 316 yards against the Steelers is a good days work for a Brady or a (healthy) Peyton Manning. John Elway likes what he sees. He has a clue. Tebow may have the best package of intangibles of all time, even surpassing Montana.
As a Steelers fan, I knew Pittsburgh wasn't going all the way this year. If they were going to lose, I'm glad it was to Denver. The Pats destroyed Denver last game. I'll be surprised if Denver's defense can't shut them down this time around. Then again, I've come to expect being surprised. That would be fun as hell if they did. Tebow haters would be in rare form after that one.
Correction, what you meant to say was that he's one game away from breaking out the golf clubs by taking up a game a little less competitive, with reliance on a handicap.
Yeah, but something tells me you said that prior to the game yesterday. Another video to check out. This sums up the Tebowsteria taking over the sportsworld right now.
More stats that are going to really (*)(*)(*)(*) off Tebow haters. • Tebow was the first NFL player to complete four passes of 30+ yards in a single quarter of an NFL playoff game. • ESPN's QBR rating says Tebow's second quarter was the third-best single quarter from a QB in the NFL since 2008. I'm expecting some really intelligent replies like: Yeah, but he sucks!
Yeah I've been watching a lot of first take lately as well. It seems like ESPN is starting to push an agenda for everything these days. I'm really glad CBS is coming out with a 24 hour sports network to rival ESPN. In college ESPN made Tim Tebow out to be on of the best players of all time, and then they completely changed their tune and tore him apart with the NFL draft and currently.
Tim Tebow and lack of leadership? Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?! He is one of the best leaders and motivators we have ever seen on a football field. Question his skills all you want, but don't say he isn't a leader.
