I suppose in 2016 when Cruz or Paul is running against Hillary you will beat me up for voting for neither side and choose a third party candidate again? Does it make you feel like your vote is canceled or something? I have never understood why people criticize others for who they cast a vote for, I wouldnt give you a hard time about voting for Bachman in the primary, I might laugh a little but...

Anyone who voted against Romney in the primary also assisted in his defeat. If he hadnt been pushed so far right he probably would have won. He couldnt even beat someone running for re-election on a failed first term.

That "very minority base" has 50 members of Congress and many Governorships on its side. It is growing no matter what the Liberal Media claims and as people see the economic failure and the seizure of Liberties by the Authoritarian Democrat Party, more and more will flock to a sensible fiscal policy and a champion for Individual Liberties coming from the TEA Party.

Like I said, a very minority base. 50 isnt even 10%. Champion for individual liberties? I thought they were about taxation and fiscal conservatism and not liberties and social concerns?

 

Growing so fast that the tea party caucus website has had one press release listed on their website in the last 12 months, and 6 postings in their "in the news section since before June 1st and all but one of those were put up on the same day. Yeah, they are just so busy they dont even have time to mess with their website.
And their numbers "swelled" to 52 members by the end of the 111th congress, higher than the number today. And also a chair person who knows she cant win re-election because of the swirling ethics violations and outing of her extreme positions. Yeah, they scare everyone to death.

 

So WHERE DO you get this idea that Ted Cruz is "winning"? I count 80 House Repubs, 14 Senate Repubs.......less than half...or even a third....of his OWN caucus.

Did you have CNN do that poll? You should have Rasmussen do it, they are much more accurate. Maybe the Heritage Foundation has some numbers to back that up?

Not even a poll....it's Cruz's own COUNT of how many House Repubs (80 out of 233) and Senate Repubs (14 out fo 46) that he has "signed up" for his silly little scheme.

I think the pain of Obama Care is going to motivate many of those voters to come back and keep the socialist lite left out of office and suddenly all those people that have spent the last four years crowing will wonder where their unbeatable lead went.

A conman can't "fall for his own con" as he performed the con and, possibly, created the con. He might forget that it is "his own", but that would suggest some brain damage or mental incapacity.

Cruz is smart. From what I've seen, he is exceptionally smart. As a matter of fact, he is one of the few who HASN'T lost my trust. To name two who HAVE: Rubio and Ayotte.

One ought to reconsider reading anything from the Washington Post. I never do.

 

I realize you were being satiric. But I was throwing in some real numbers. On POLLS?....a poll done FOR Republicans showed that something like 58% OPPOSED a "defund or shutdown" plan......again, that's among Republicans.
