    Local stories said that they found clothing shreds and bone fragments in the dogs' stools. No mention of hogs.

    Very true. And the last thing you want to be is a forgotten person. I have left a mark and I can honestly say my funeral would be a good turnout. That's assuming I die early. Longevity runs in my family. Even the drinkers lived to be 90. I'll probably be the last man standing.

    As you would know if you paid attention or bothered to research your rambles, I am no lefty. And No I do not know but, am capable of evaluating a situation based on available data.

    It hugely differ if you consider the pet species and race. There is important behavour differences among dog races, less among cat races.

    It's quite sure that every pet race and species doesn't have the same emotionnal attachment to their owner. I don't have any degree in any neuronal science, but I'm very interested into the topic. If my memories is good, we can mesure the ocytocin levels of an animal when he see his owner, which can be considered as a measurement of how much a pet "love" you.
    It's quite clear that dogs tend to have higher level than cats, but I'm speaking only of a trend.

    I don't deny your point about metabolism, but I don't think it's the only influence element.
