Was the statement made before or after it was proven the individuals were wrongfully convicted? Society as a whole determined the individuals in question were guilty as charged, why should any random individual of society feel compelled, even obligated, to believe otherwise?

The right wing is usually anti-government and condemns needless government intrusion into people's lives. "Get government off your back" is a refrain used by Reagan and others who believe in that so called theory.

Here is your chance to apply that idea on a consistent basis.

Those innocent black men would never have been falsely arrested, tortured, and made to confess to a crime they hadn't committed if this society did not tolerate this type of racism. Since so much of society was willing to hang them despite their innocence, they should be just as eager to hang those criminally racist whites cops who are and remain GUILTY.
