Absolute BS. The Democratic wave came to shore slowly, but with tremendous vigor & success. Today Kyrsten Sinema became Arizona's first female Senator in the U.S. Congress, and the first Democrat sent to the Senate from AZ for several decades. And she's just part of the continuing victory wave for Democrats from Nov 6.

 

Democrats gained 40 seats in the House (the most since Watergate and by the biggest voting margin in US history), seven governorships, ~330 State seats, and only lost 2 senate seats despite having 26 on the chopping block.

That was disappointing but not out of line with normal voting trends

I thought that this was a massive, gigantic victory for Presuhdint Bonespurs!!

 

40 is the most "Democrat" pickups since Watergate. The GOP picked up significantly more with both Clinton's and Obama's 1st midterm. In both of those cases, the GOP picked up several Senate seat in addition to the house.

In fact this is the 1st time in about 78 years that the sitting POTUS's party picked up Senate seats.

But I get that Democrats have lower standards, so maybe for them it was a wave.

 

Trump lost more seats in the House in the first two years as leader of his party than Obama did in his first two years. Trump lost the single biggest house election popular vote in US history. Trump gained a grand total of 2 senate seats despite have 26 Democratic senate seats on the chopping block. And Democrats would have won many more house seats, but for gerrymandering.

And that failure occurred while the economy was booming.

But you keep on thinking this was a "Tremendous victory" because Trump told you so, if you like.

 

When you say it that way, it looks like Trump got his ample buttocks kicked pretty hard. But we all know that it was really a gargantuan victory for him.

Barack Obama lost 63 House seats in 2010 and several Senate seats (9?)

Bill Clinton lost 52 House seats in 1994 and several Senate seats (6?)

If 2018 was a Blue wave, 1994 and 2010 were Red Sunamis.

Trump still suffered a massive defeat two weeks ago.

 

What happens in California often reverberates across the nation. The GOP is depleted here. Now smart Republican politicians are distancing themselves from Trump/ openly criticizing the administration. A bigger blue wave, like a tsunami, is building. Wise Republicans will join Democrats for impeachment hearings like when Nixon was forced out.
