I just told you how you could figure out if people have the Holy Spirit or not.

    1) You have to go through the Children of Israel to receive the Holy Spirit. There are a few exceptions, but they are few and far between.

    2) The Holy Spirit leads people to the truth. If 70% of the US had the Holy Spirit (those who call themselves Christians), they would all be teaching the same things. However, that's not what we find. What we do find are different denominations and interpretations of scripture.

    3) The bible says first the Jew then the Gentile (Romans 1:16). Jesus said salvation is through the Jews (John 4:22). Cornelius, although he feared God and believed in Jesus, had to go through Peter to receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 10). Paul even said that God did not do away with the Children of Israel (Romans 11:1-4). People (The Gentiles) teach that the Children of Israel have no importance and that faith in Jesus is all you need. That is incorrect. The Children of Israel do have importance.

Psalm 147:19-20 (NLT) says, "He has revealed his words to Jacob, his decrees and regulations to Israel. He has not done this for any other nation; they do not know his regulations. Praise the Lord!"

That is the purpose of the Children of Israel. They are to be Kings and priests to the world.

1 Peter 2:9 (NLT) says "But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light."

For many Gnostic sects it was a requirement that adherents wrote their own Gospel. Personal revelation, as you infer, was all the rage.

There is no way to figure out whether or not your spirit guide is "Holy".

God did not sit down with you for tea the other day and tell you "This spirit is HOLY and this one is not"

Do you really think the deceiver is going to show up in red horns and a cape ?

This is what Paul wrote - a dude that had never met Jesus - but it is not what Jesus said.

    Matthew 15
Jesus claims he was sent "only" to the Jews. Sure he may have taken pity on a few lucky gentiles along the way but he was sent "only" to the Jews.

    Again in Matthew 10

The following is excerpted from the link you posted:
"This argument doesn’t commit the subjectivist fallacy; it has nothing to do with objectivity and subjectivity. Instead it is an example of an appeal to popularity, giving far too much weight to the opinion of those who don’t accept the conclusion of the argument, failing to recognise that even an argument for a conclusion that many people don’t accept can be sound."

Isn't everyone a little bit of a "subjectivist" at times during their arguments. As an example. Your leaning on 'logic' and 'logical fallacies', is a bit subjective, as it infers that all people must be 'logical' in their reasoning. Please show a law, code, rule, regulation, statute, which proclaims such a mandate that is enforceable on all people.

Ummm No. Using logic to show flaws in arguments and exposing false arguments (logical fallacies) is a way of decreasing subjectivity, not increasing it.

You can be illogical in your reasoning all you like. I realize that delving into the illogical and irrational may be the only way to substantiate your beliefs but that does not make your actions logical or reasonable.

What is even more absurd is your suggestion that folks should not rely on logic or point out logical fallacy.

How else is an argument proven to be true or false ?

What method do you suggest Incorp ?

Why is it necessary to decrease subjectivity? Decreasing 'subjectivity' would also decrease a scientists ability to 'think' about what he/she is attempting to accomplish. Before a person can set out to methodically do something, nature will require that the person first subject the thing in consideration to a level of subjectivity.

Nor does the pretense of using logic make yours 'logical or reasonable'. Touche'

And the facts supporting your claim is found where?

How about mathematically? How about using the scientific method?

When dealing with matters concerning religion, then of course it would be 'theologic'.

Egypt stands for "bondage". Did you miss that part?

    This is false.

    It says no such thing.

    What are you talking about?

    That's correct.
Were you aware the Children of Israel is what he's referring to? Jews = "Judea" which is Greek for "Judah". Judah represents the Israelites, thus, The Children of Israel.

What does bondage have to do with the second coming described in Mathew 24?

You are clearly ignoring what both chapters are saying. I'll let the forum decide who is representing the scriptures accurately.

It appears you are claiming that Jews are like a pope and that Jesus will be on earth before the Day of The Lord, Jesus clearly warned people would claim.

Logic posits that facts and evidence are required for a claim to be proven true.

You criticize the use of logic and then try and depend on logic to criticize the use of logic.

Where is the logic in that ?

Both Math and the Scientific method are rooted in logic. So yes.. how about Science and Math

So you suggest using Math and Science but then when concerning religion suggest that those, along with logic and rational thought, be thrown out the window.

    This is in Mathew 24

15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’[c] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.

26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Parable of the Fig Tree
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it[d] is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

No One Knows the Day or Hour
36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven,[e] but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour[f] your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

He is not coming until after the Tribulation. And as in the days of Noah, no one will know the day nor hour. The description of his return is at the day of The Lord when God unleashes his wrath.

    In John ch. 4

21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

23 goes on to show how Jesus is now the way to God.

Because the Children of Israel are under bondage. They cannot go back home because they've lost their identity. They are still ridiculed and mocked. They aren't treated fairly.

Seems to me you don't know what either of the chapters are saying.

Like the Pope? I've never seen the Pope go out and start teaching people anything.

    First of all...
    1) Jesus is coming back to get the Children of Israel

    2) The Children of Israel will be safe during the 2nd half of the the tribulation (Revelation 7:3).

Last I recall, Israel is an independent nation. Any Jew is welcome to return there. Them being in bondage is hyperbole.

I've provided both chapters. Looking forward to your denial.

Something believed to be true or real. Now you cannot deny that the preceding definition is a genuine definition and one that is applicable to all people. People will believe something even without the presence of tangible evidence and in spite of a supposed requirement of supporting logic or reason. Please show me a single quark so that I can examine it and make a determination as to the validity of its being 'real'. I believe that you cannot provide such tangible evidence.

It is found in Rome. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Also, when in Ephesus (the old city mentioned in the 'Bible') do as the Ephesians do.

And your point is what? I use both on a daily basis dealing with my work with electronics. However neither are capable of proving anything pertaining to religious belief.

    See my statement immediately above.

Yes, I agree he is off on chapter 11, because he ignores that the abomination which sits where it ought not" is the Dome of the Rock.

And he also misses the clear and uncanny specific evidences that the Holocaust was the great Jewish tribulation which spared only a remnant of them.
That their "dead bodies would lay in the street" as WWII photos even show as, and "shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves" since they were burned up in crematoriums is amazingly correct.
This kind of massive extermination of all but a few Jews and the details are undeniably and historically accurate.

Then we know that all Western Europe (except for good Christian believers) actually did rejoice over killing these Jews, as stated: "shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another."

The prophetic accuracy of three and one half years during 19452-45 of the Holocaust is also amazing, where scripture specifically states "the people and kindreds and tongues and (Western European) nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half."

Again, after the 194245 Holocaust, it did occur, that "after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet."
The camps were opened up and the Jews remaining, a remnant, were released.
Then for the Nazi comrades of Muslims in Israel, "great fear fell upon them which saw them."

The Jews together, "heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, "Come up (to the Promised Land), hither."
Then, the Jews knew that the Balfour Letter of 1916, which England had promised their return to Jerusalem must the happen en masse, "and they ascended up to heaven in a cloud" of great masses while Hitler' Palestinian Muslims, "their enemies, beheld them."

Early on, before the 1942-45 Holocaust, earlier, in "the same hour was there a great earthquake" when in 1918 AD, the Armageddon against the Muslim Ottoman Empire defeat occurred exactly at Megiddo.
The Muslims lost 7000 soldiers there, in two sets of attacks, exactly as stated, i.e.; "slain of men seven thousand."

The balance of chapter 11 says that this event of the Jews returning to Israel in 1948 marked the word of God as stated so long ago, and "the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ."
God truly had demonstrated his power over all Nations here.

God says clearly, He "shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets" by fulfilling His promise to return the Jews to Israel, "and to the saints," whom Revelation 6:9-11 said would need await for this same event.
"And them that fear thy name," (the believers), "small," (Jews), "and great" (Christians)" did actually see God "shouldest destroy them," (the Nazi), "which destroy the earth."

Rev. 11:19 And the temple of God, (Truth), was opened in heaven (in the kingdom within peoples' minds: [Luke 17:21]), and there was seen in his temple the ark of (Christ), his testament, ("I am the Truth, the way and the life"... [John 14:6]): and there were lightnings (of internet communications), and voices (inside the churches, the mosques, and the synagogues), and thunderings (of those who saw the Truth and recognized had was almighty Reality), and an earthquake (upon organized religion was immense), and great hail (of the Truth fell upon false and erroneous interpretations of the preachers, the Imam, and the Rabbi).

    Wrong,...
Read what the Jewish Encyclopedia actually says.
Then start adding your own negativity after you see that its was 200 years before Jesus.

Dan. 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away (in 70 AD), and (until) the abomination (of the Dome of the Rock) that maketh desolate set up (in 690 AD), there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days, (1290 + 690 = 1980 AD, the re-dedication of The New Jerusalem as Capital of Israel).

Actually no you haven't told me anything before.

All of the above proves nothing, it does not prove that you or anyone else has the holy spirit.

    Hmmm,...

Dan. 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away (which happened in 70 AD), and (then, which was actually 30 years prior to 70AD, when the Temple was still there, in 40AD)... does fit well here.

Using logic reduces subjectivity, stating "in your opinion" is a Subjectivist Fallacy, when engaging in a debate there are rules, if you don't want to adhere to the rules of debate then that is your choice . .however be expected to be pulled up on every fallacy.

I am not the one who is making the claim, they are, therefore the onus is on them to produce evidence that compels my mind to change it's point of view . .stating "it is your opinion" or variations of, is a cop out for those who do not have the confidence or ability to defend their position.

In the war described in the Trumpets of Revelation the attack that begins the war would correspond with the first four Trumpets (Revelation 8:7-13). John saw “hail and fire, mingled with blood… thrown to the earth,… something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood… and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch… and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter… and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened… and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke” (Revelation 8:7-9:2). It would be hard to devise a better description of a series of nuclear strikes using the language that John had available.

Remember that this was written decades after Jesus, the Rabbi, was killed.

Jesus is not claiming he is the Messiah, either Jewish or Christian. In Hebrew he is the 'anointed one'.
The woman said she knew the Jewish 'anointed one' would come. This has to be the case. The idea of a Christian Messiah - and Christianity - were in the future. When Jesus mentioned his death the disciples were horrified. Vicarious sacrifice was anathema.
That Christianity was born in retrospect is surely obvious.

That Jesus was the way to God for HIS people is what he is saying to the woman - those to whom he had come.

I'm glad you brought that up. I have repeatedly asked people on this forum to show me such 'rules, regulations, laws, statutes, TOS statements, or other mandate that obligates all people to use 'logic' in their discussions/debates. So far, none have provided such a listing. Can you do what others have not been able to do?

Defending ones position does not necessarily require the use of logic.... though I would agree that making a defense of ones position does require a degree of 'confidence or ability'. What abilities they possess or what they have confidence in is a matter of individual choice to obtain or use.
